First of all, the taste of the food at this restaurant is not bad. However, I do not recommend this place. The reason is simple: they overcharged me without my consent. That day, after finishing my meal, I asked for the bill from the owner (a gentleman, probably Korean). The bill showed 39 euros. I indicated that I wanted to pay by card, so the man brought out the payment machine. I tapped my Visa credit card on the machine. After a moment, he asked if I needed a receipt, and I said yes. I didn’t pay much attention to the receipt and left with my family. After leaving the restaurant, I was organizing my things and took a closer look at the receipt. To my surprise, I noticed that he had charged me 40 euros, which was 1 euro more than the bill.I understand that some establishments might expect customers to leave a tip, but that doesn’t justify him taking extra money from me without asking. Even in the U.S., where tipping is almost mandatory, it’s clearly shown on the bill. If this Korean owner had asked me beforehand whether I was willing to leave a tip, I might not have refused. But his decision to take a tip without my consent made me very uncomfortable. That’s why I do not recommend this restaurant at all. It made me feel that he is dishonest. If he is willing to take an extra euro from a customer's credit card without permission, how can I trust the quality of his ingredients? How can I trust that he wouldn’t cut corners with the food to make...
Read moreFour of us are from the United State. We started getting fed up with French and Italian foods. So we decided have Korean dishes. Here was my impression. Two young men/staffs are very kind,,,,kinder than typical/blunt French waiters. But they have TOO many dishes in the menu. With that size of (small) restaurant, I am very skeptical about taste of foods. Yook-gae-jang that we ordered was pretty bad (no noodle called dang-mean, wrong junkie beef and no gosari) and very expensive. Since it was my 3rd trip in Paris, I kind of know the price of foods in general, including Thai, Japanese, Italian, seafood and etc. Other dishes we ordered were 2.
I cannot comment on other foods, hope that they are as good as other customers highly rated.
We would not go...
Read moreAt this restaurant I visited a few days ago, I met the best kimchi stew of my life! It is not a Korean food with a strange taste modified to suit the local area, but a real depth and taste of the original Korean food! The small-sized seafood green onion pancake I ate as an appetizer was also excellent. I understood why many certification stickers on the restaurant show window were attached. It will be a very valuable experience not only for Korean travelers who miss Korean food but also for French people who are curious about Korean food culture! I highly...
