I had an unfortunate experience at this caffe during my visit. I discovered a cigarette ash-like substance in my lemonade, and when I informed the lady responsible for my outdoor table, she took it away without offering an apology, and just removed from the drink the substance and returned it back to me. Wow, It was unimaginable that they simply removed the foreign substance from the lemonade that had it floating and served it back. Their hygiene standards at this cafe are truly remarkable👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤮🤮🤮

When I explained that I couldn't drink it, she dismissed my concerns, insisting it was only in the cup and that I should still drink it.

To make matters worse, when I persisted, she gave me an offended look and abruptly snatched the drink away. LITERALLY SNATCHED. Even the patrons at the neighboring table noticed her rudeness and expressed astonishment at her behaviors.

She brought a new lemonade and, without saying a word, simply slammed it onto the table and walked away. Finally I could drink non-strange lemonade after a few unpleasant moment.

Can’t even describe how terrible this experience was. A disgrace!!!😡😡😡 I was sitting in Café Carrousel on a Sunday morning for a coffee and croissant. From the beginning i noticed how crowded the tables are and how tight the space for the waiters is. Not longer after, a full glass of red wine was spilled over me🥵. My whole beige trousers were coloured in red, and I was completely soaked (while it is zero degrees outside 🥶). The staff did not care much, did not apologise and did not deal with the situation. I got so upset. When I asked for the bill I saw that they did not address it at all! Did not reduce anything, and did not offer any mitigation. After asking to escalate the issue - the manager refused to offer any sort of real compensation not before she blamed the fact the restaurant is too small and crowded as a cause for the incident. Shockingly, she was arguing out loud with me, putting me completely on the spot, while all tables were embarrassingly watching.

A complete disgrace to even fight over 20 euros. This is a well-off business that is located in central Paris, I am sure they could address the situation much more effectively, be more apologetic, and treat their costumers with kindness. I have never seen such a rude service like that and I left the restaurant traumatised, and promising to never come back.

This is a casual restaurant right opposite to the big ferris wheel of Paris and one of the entrance to Tuileres garden. We had our first meal in Paris here since they had a few vegetarian options.

We ordered pizza, fries and some drinks. The taste was average, nothing great ( I ate much better tasting pizzas n fries during next 3 weeks of my Europe trip). Sometimes being located at a tourist spot is an advantage in terms of number of customers a restaurant has inspite of the food quality and taste and I think this is exactly the case with this place.

But biggest irony was the racist and sloppy attitude of the staff that served us here. In terms of welcoming, showing the table, waiting time for menu and food and even providing with basic cutlery and paper napkins we could see a visible difference in their approach towards us and other (white) clients.

It is high time that the service and hospitality industry of Europe overcomes such racist attitude and starts aligning itself to global service standards. Tourists bring lot of revenue and job opportunities and they all should be treated equally and...
