These people need an attitude adjustment. I traveled across town to come here because it was recommended. I walked in said hello and went to use the toilet before sitting down at the table. The employee ended up following me to the bathroom and rudely interrogating me not wanting to let me use the bathroom and asking me why i was there. I told them i wanted to sit and eat but i had to use the toilet. He was very rude and kept interrogating me telling me I wasn’t welcome to eat there either because I didn’t ask for permission?!
The whole thing made no sense to me at all and the way they treated me was so rude for needing to use the bathroom and made me not want to eat there or come back. The worst part was even when I tried to talk it out with them they did not apologize and really thought they were in the right. Then they tried to rub it in that they had the best pizza and paris.
Sorry but when Im In a country where I don’t speak the language my first thought is not to start asking a bunch of questions and make conversation when I walk in. If I see the toilet sign right in front of the door and I need to pee Im going to walk over to it.
I was not treated like this anywhere else I went in Paris. Everyone was really nice and welcoming in all the little local french spots. Ive honestly never had someone be so rude to me for wanting to spend my money at their place. It sucks because I was really looking forward to...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this restaurant given how beautiful the setting was, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We arrived at 2:30 for our booking, only to find the staff scrambling to find tables for people. They eventually found us a spot upstairs, but the service was chaotic from the start.
As soon as we were seated, the waitress rushed over and demanded our food order immediately, claiming the kitchen was closing. When I started with drinks, she cut me off, insisting that someone else would take the drinks order and that she needed the food order first. Then, confusingly, she asked for the drinks order anyway!
The atmosphere didn’t help either—there was a table near us where the dad was visibly annoyed with the poor service, which made things feel tense and awkward. When the food arrived, it came before the drinks, which was frustrating. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food itself. The broccoli dish, which cost a staggering €16, consisted of just five cold stems with some Parmesan sprinkled on top—an absolute rip-off. While the rest of the food was fine, it was nothing special and certainly didn’t justify the high prices. To top it off, they charged €8 for water!
Overall, the whole experience felt rushed, overpriced, and poorly managed. Definitely...
Read moreWe had the “Norma” Pizza as an appetiser, and it was very good. It’s not a neapolitan pizza but rather a thin and crusty one, but it was extremely good. I was skeptical because ricotta tends to absorb all the flavour, but not in this case. I had the best carbonara I’ve ever tasted, the pasta was cooked perfectly. Can definitely recommend. My girlfriend had the truffle pasta, and it was a bit “unbalanced”. The pasta was too thick/intense for the dish, the flavour of the pasta itself overpowered the truffle sauce, so the aftertaste was a bit underwhelming and did not follow up on the first taste - if the pasta was thinner, the dish would’ve been perfect as well!
The drinks were also very good, especially the Martini with cinnamon.
The service was solid, nothing exceptional. Didn’t switch the fork etc. after the appetiser & I mentioned during the booking that we are celebrating a birthday, so I thought they might come up with something, but they didn’t - of course, this is just a bonus but I think these are things that make the difference between a a good and a perfect experience.
It got a bit hot suddenly, and the windows were open, so I’m not sure how the heat is when it’s even hotter outside…
Nonetheless, would definitely recommend &...
