Beautiful day and so many things to see. Prepare yourself for a walk and bring comfortable shoes. Also recommend is to bring water. Day was sunny and warm but there are shade from the trees and places where you can rest. Also there are some gardens that are not overcrowded with tourists so you can relax and enjoy in peace and quiet. Palace is beautiful but gardens made even bigger impression on me.

From this gate, you can go through for free and walk around and see the palace from outside the main gates. A lovely sunny day and it was busy, waiting time to enter the palace was around an hour. Get comfortable shoes, you will walk around a lot. The whole area is beautiful with historic buildings and beautiful architecture but also some green space inside in gardens.

The Gate of Honor of the Palace of Versailles is the gate that separates the parade ground from the Square of Honor. The Golden Gate of Honor is magnificent, completely covered in gold. The early morning light makes it shine. It is wonderful to watch and enjoy this...
