The cafe is located in a perfect place, on a little island in the heart of the city! They had superdelicious potato soup! I was so happy to find it! BUT the waitress (blondish 30sh or 40sh) was superstrange! They have two variants of tea portions in the menu: over two euros for a cup and over 3 euros for a teapot (only half full of water). We ordered a teapot and she brought us 1 cup and a teapot. We asked for another cup a few times and she answered every time that that portion was for 1(!) person and another cup was not allowed. Moreover, when we decided to order another tea (we happened to have a long meeting) and I asked her if lemongrass tea contained anything else except that lemongrass, and she said she did not know! Without any effort to find it out. (So an allergic person would not have got necessary info either?) Another thing was that she didn't seem to understand English though we didn't need to communicate much because we had a German-speaking person with us. She definitely spoiled the impression. In addition they neither accept card payment nor warn about it before you make an order. We didn't notice any written info...
Read moreTrödelmarkt is a small and quaint island in the middle of the Petnitz River in the city centre of Nuremburg. You'll find a few nice statues on the island as well as attractive shops and restaurants. We had a good meal at Trödelstuben and would happily eat there again.
There are several bridges that link St. Sebald District (north) and St. Lorenz (south) to Trödelmarkt. These include the historic Karlsbrücke to the north and south as well as the roofed wooden Henkersteg to the west.
We also enjoyed the decorations that were placed throughout Trödelmarkt during the annual Christmas Market which can be experienced throughout Nuremburg at this...
Read more[General] A good and quite place to stay for a while. The staff is friendly and fast. We had several desserts and drinks. They were good but nothing special.
[Ambiente] We took a seat outside at the riverfront and it was really beautiful. The area is not to busy and there are are not so many tourists so you can take a seat with locals and enjoy the view. This place has also seats inside and it is really nice to go here early in the morning and drink a coffee.
[Pricing] Fair and compared to other places around there, also cheap. If you are looking for a drink or...
