Ganesha Restaurant Nürnberg — Restaurant in Nuremberg

Hi Guys Go to this restaurant at your own risk. As I have been fooled by good rating and good comments I think its my moral duty to make people aware about the pathetic experience.

We went to Nurnberg on 15 April 2022 for a day trip. I did a quick check here and quickly decided on nearby Indian restaurant to fortress based on decent comments.

Waiter has been the most unwelcoming. To quote his responses:

Jahan man kare wahan baith jao- on asking for where it is better to sit Sabhi bhadiya banta hai- on asking for recommendations Everything is prepared- on asking for amplifying chillies to indian taste bud. For pakoras- he said its already prepared we will refry.

Even though he said its prepared in morning but from taste I can tell it is 2-3 days stale.

Tandoori chicken had gravy and when we resent for drying it up and add charriness he says log bolte hain jala diya. Lamb curry and chicken kadhai had same grave as tandoori chicken:P

Fresh and decent tasting items were papad, onion, tomato, lemon and beer.

Chole had cream gravy.. but was palatable.

Quantity is very less for the prize which ranges upwards of 14 euro.

As we were at new place plans on trip we did not say much and left. I had to bathe 2 times to clear the head from the disgusting food. Lunch at this place actually ruined the trip and noone enjoyed anything after it.

The overall experience can be summed up as if someone gave you a stale indian tea by reheating the next morning for your bed tea. It ruins your entire day.

Zero star and staying away from all unknown indian restaurants at least for six months.

Usually a great experience although prices seem to have gone up substantially recently (understandable with inflation however). Usually the service is good, although on one occasion someone on my table received the wrong food, and politely informed the waiter about it. The waiter in an annoyed tone insisted "this is what you ordered" and that he can't do anything about it. 20 seconds later he quickly returned because, presumably, another customer from a different table had also received the wrong food, and the situation was resolved. It was admittedly a busy night, but especially as the waiter was in the wrong and was politely asked about the possibility of being served the wrong dish, I feel like they could have quickly apologised. It would've gone a long way. Nevertheless, this was a one-off situation and the same waiter has waited me/us before, so I will chalk it up to him having...

I really can't agree with the overall rating on Google!

Easily one of the worst Indian restaurants I have eaten at. We ordered on lieferando and the food came on time, no problem there.

But, the 2 curries we ordered were Chilli Paneer and Veg. Manchurian. They were both utterly disappointing, made with the same sauce (it wasn't curry, for sure), extremely sweet and tasted more like tomato sauce with vegetables. Not to forget the absurd amount of food color in the sauce.

The Naan was tasting almost sour and was chewy.

We also had ordered samosas, which was bland and soggy. It came with some channa masala that smelt and tasted nearly stale.

Never, ever going to eat the food from here. Highly Not recommend.
