Museum of Illusions Thessaloniki — Attraction in Municipality of Thessaloniki

It is a fun activity to escape the heath.

We had a big group of 8 adults, 4 kids (between 6-8 years old) and 1 baby. I have booked our tickets one day before, due to the group size it was only one available time slot.

We arrived on time for our booking, but we waited a bit for some of us to park the car. There was no issue to enter a bit later then our booked time slot. Paid car parks are around the area, the closest is right across the main street at the port. The area is very busy, heavy traffic.

The receptionist explained the signs showing on the walls and floor where the photographer and the person photographed should stand for the best outcome. The staff are there to help and even take the photos of you and your group.

The place is not big, however we spent roughly 1.5-2 hours because we had to take turns to take pictures of everyone and the different illusion locations.

There are different illusions on the wall and floor, an upside down metro carriage (note: the pictures will need to be edited to be upside down, but the staff will show you how to do it), a mirror room, wooden games to test your logic thinking, a room with the illusion of different sized corners and other illusional stuff. There is a round tunnel with a small bridge inside, where the tunnel walls start to spin and give you the illusion of falling over the bridge fence. The kids loved the tunnel and they kept going back until the staff closed it for safety for a short time and explained that if you stay long inside you can feel very dizzy or unwell. There is a sign explaining this on the wall, but we didn't read it before entering, but the staff is there to help and guide.

They were very friendly and helpful, took pictures of us and patiently let the kids play.

Overall, we all enjoyed our time at the museum and I can highly recommend it for children and...

For the price of 10€ per person, you can go eat something rather than coming here. The museum itself is very very small (it took 20-30 mins to view everything). The ladies working there, were kind of annoying, following us around everywhere but whatever.

The "illusions" were boring and common. The gift shop featured really simplistic puzzles for stupidly high prices.

Worst part was a family of six (2 parents and 4 children). The children were creating chaos, running around everywhere which ruined whatever was left of the experience. The employees did absolutely nothing to calm them down or notify their parents.

Kids unfriendly τελικά αφού η υπάλληλος έκανε αυστηρή παρατήρηση σε ένα παιδί μας επειδή έτρεξε χαλαρά μετά το διαδραστικό δωμάτιο με τους καθρέφτες. Με το σούπερ επιχείρημα "εδώ δεν τρέχουμε, είναι μουσείο". Για να το πιάσουμε απ την αρχή, μουσείο σίγουρα δεν είναι αφού δεν έχει εκθέματα. Έχει κάποιες αναπαραστασεις που βασίζονται στη φυσική, τις οποίες δεν είναι ανάγκη να πας από εκεί για να τις δεις. Οκ έκαναν τον κόπο και τις συγκέντρωσαν. Είναι πολύ μικρό, τόσο μικρό που το αντίτιμο της εισόδου πραγματικά ξαφνιάζει αφού ολοκληρωθεί η περιήγηση. Μπαίνοντας υπάρχει ένα τούνελ σκοτεινό με φωτισμούς ασύγχρονους που περιστρέφεται. Με τρία μικρά παιδιά και με το αίσθημα του ιλίγγου να εμφανίζεται, ένιωσα ανυπερασπιστη. Υπάρχουν κάποιες εμπειρίες ψευδαισθησεων που έχουν πλάκα αλλά σε τελικό απολογισμό δεν αξίζει με τίποτα. Αν θέλετε να κάνετε μουσείο ψευδαισθησεων κάντε το σωστά, φτάνει πια με τα πανάκριβα ημίμετρα και τις αρπαχτές.

Edit μετα την απάντηση: Φιλότιμη αλλά πραγματικά πάρα πολύ αποτυχημένη η προσπάθειά σας, με καταφανή ψεύδη να μας παρουσιάσετε ως ανεύθυνους γονείς, για να υπεραμυνθείτε του λάθους σας. Πραγματικά εκπλήσσομαι με το θράσος σας! Τα παιδιά δεν έμειναν ούτε μισό δευτερόλεπτο μόνα τους, καμία υπάλληλος δεν τα κυνηγούσε όσο εμείς δήθεν απομακρυνόμασταν, ούτε φυσικά κάποιο παιδί μας έσπρωξε κάποιο άλλο παιδί και παραπονέθηκε κάποιος πατέρας... Ή είστε φαντασιόπληκτος ή μας μπερδεύετε με κάποιους άλλους ή πολύ απλά λέτε ψέματα. Αν συμβαίνει το τρίτο, λυπάμαι για το ήθος σας. Θα συνεχίσω να σας δυσφημίζω και όχι μόνο για τα δήθεν "εκθέματά" σας αλλά και για το χαμηλότατο επίπεδό σας, το οποίο βέβαια οφείλω να πω ότι αντικατοπτρίζεται στο χώρο σας. Να προσθέσω με την ευκαιρία ότι η παραίτηση και μη συντήρηση είναι εμφανής. Κάντε και κανένα καθαρισμό και καμιά ανανέωση, τόσα...
