‼️ The owner gave us a burnt cake and stressed to us that he knew what he was making‼️ Our choice of souffle with ice cream came with strawberry ice cream, which we found odd as you can imagine the slightly bitter chocolate with the sour strawberries tasted very much like chewing on coffee grounds. After we were unhappy with this pairing and made a friendly comment, the restaurant remade the dessert for us (replacing it with a vanilla ice cream). To add to the irony, the second souffle was baked, but out of what now seems like very unnecessary courtesy we didn't raise the issue on the spot. Who knows, at the checkout, we were billed for two souffles without being told in advance, which meant we would be charged twice. Firstly, we couldn't understand why we needed to pay twice after the removal of the previous dish's. Secondly, after we raised the issue and told the restaurant that the second one was still not up to scratch, the owner remained firm and even said things like you should just pay the bill with no apologies at all. When we left the restaurant, the baked souffle was even able to be banging and thumping on the plate, which I'm sure the other guests in the room could have heard. (We didn't mean to disturb anyone.) Had I packed it away, I wouldn't even have to worry about meeting any thugs on the way, I could have just hit them on the head with this cake. Instead I should have been worried about being suspected by the police that I might try to take a piece of Fira's "volcanic rock" with me. Until we left, the owner was still very confident and hopefully he really knew what he was...
Read moreWe were looking for a place where to spend our last evening in Santorini and celebrate my birthday. We had some places on mind, but there was or queue, or tables were so close to each other, that it wasn't comfortable... And then... We've found this GEM.
First of all, it was evening, and we didn't mind that we won't see the sea, but on contrary - no winds or drafts!
Wasnt too busy.
Waiter was super friendly.
But food! That was the best one we had in Santorini. We ordered shrimps saganaki as apetiser... but then realised we need to order a 🫓 pita bcs it was so mouthwatering! (And then we ordered another pita, because itself it was out of this world) + chicken with apricots, and lamb leg.
Chicken - that was something I've never tried before... So tender, such an amazing combination of tastes, and that parsley there was just perfecting overall picture!
We found out that this is a family run resto! Mother, father, son, friend are working there.
I mean Greece has a lot to offer and surprise us but time we spent there we will remember for...
Read moreI was unsure about this place because I was craving pizza. However, happy wife, happy life. I'm glad that we came because we ended up returning 4 times in order to try different dishes.
The lamb kleftiko was so tender, juicy, and flavorful; the meat was falling off the bone.
The stuffed calamari was cooked perfectly and the sauce was memorable.
The pork filet gorgonzola is mouthwatering! It's not just melted cheese, it is the combination of flavors.
All the side vegetables were treated with an understanding of their texture.
The natural juices come in a generous portion and have a great selection.
We found the wine selection very balanced.
Last but not least, the service was excellent. They are very kind and quite humble about the treasure that they have in the kitchen. On our last night, we stayed very late and Uber couldn't find any taxi drivers available. The staff noticed our stress and started making phone calls until they found us a taxi.
Great food, great drinks, great people. We highly...
