🌴 Tabana Beach, Roatán, Honduras – 4 Stars (but barely) 🌊
Visited as part of our Caribbean cruise stop, and there’s one major highlight that makes this spot worth it: the coral reef is stunning. Snorkeling here is truly next level — vibrant fish, crystal-clear water, and living coral just a short swim offshore. If you do anything, get the snorkeling package once you arrive. Don’t let the cruise ship pre-sell you — it’s cheaper and better at the beach. 1000% worth it.
That said… the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. There’s a relentless upsell vibe from the moment you arrive. Everything from beach chairs to drinks feels like a pitch. Add to that the loud music and tourist-trap atmosphere, and it’s more spring break than serene escape. The food? Honestly disappointing. Lukewarm, basic, and barely passable. Read moreI have no idea why anyone would go to any other spot on West Bay. The service we received by Yolanda and the gentleman working with her on the beach was impeccable. They made sure we had everything we needed at all times without being pushy or overbearing in any way. They even nicely asked a few of the beach merchants to leave us alone after they continued to insist on us using their services, which I can not tell you how valuable this can be. The food was amazing here, the ceviche was the best we found on the island, the lobster burger was to die for and the lobster wonton were literally packed full of lobster meat! The drinks are much more reasonably priced here than most all other bars on West Bay. Literally the bars on both sides of this resort have drinks for double the price. If you want a tranquil, peaceful setting filled with tropical plants and perfect white...
Read moreDidn’t like it. We booked and excursion with a cruise, and took us their.
The place have a direct access to coral reef, the beach 🏝 its beautiful in a way. Clear waters as you can see in pictures and thats good but the beach resort its really basic.
The food wasn’t of quality, burgers, hotdogs, they only have just one kind of salad 🥗 coleslaw.
They didn’t have complimentary water, just lemonade and ice-tea, all with sugar and artificial.
The service of diving lesson, was fine, they gave you all the equipment you need for the day.
The place have security but you cant be relax and need to watch your things all the time.
