A tucked away little museum that is actually inside a bar called Baz Beer Bar. If you go through the main doors you'll see some stairs going down, and there is a sign saying axe throwing and the Trash Metal Museum. Just head down there and there will be a couple of staff members, who are very friendly and speak English excellently. I had bought my tickets in advance, via the GetYourGuide app, but you can purchase them at the desk and pay with card or cash (in Hungarian Forint). The museum is only on one level but it is very impressive. Although not a lot to see and do, it is very quirky and clearly a lot of effort, time, and talent has gone into the sculptures. You can take as many photos as you want and you can even sit on some of the sculptures. I recommend going just because it's something different to see, and it is a very relaxed environment. Read moreWe visited the museum on a cold Monday afternoon. It is a bit odd to find because the entrance is through a bar. You go down some stairs and pay an admission fee of about 8 euros, there is a place to leave jackets or bags, and that was a blessing because we were carrying a lot of weight.
The gallery itself is not particularly large, it is more of an artist exhibition than a " museum". The great part is it is fully interactive and you are free to touch, climb the exhibits. I would say it is about a 30 minute deal in total. We were lucky and it was not crowded at all. Then again it seems like it is not a mainstream tourist attraction, so there is that. We got some great pics and at the end I concluded it was a great way to spend 8 euros. Would I do it again? Yup. Would I recommend it to you? suresies! A nice memory from our time...
Read moreWell, it is a nice place but I cannot say it is a must! The museum is divided into two section. At the first one (the left) there are SEVERAL iron statues that look pretty cool, you can touch them, climb on them and get pictures too, nice but nothing more than that. At the other section (the right) there are several stands the visitors can use to throw axes, and shoorikans upon targets. I must say the I DOD NOT LIKE the idea that visitors have access to a real weapons!!! My daughters were a bit afraid and even while not attending that museum section, the noise from it was a bit irritating! I highly recommend the owner to get rid of this museum part! If you get this place with small soft kids, plz take this fact...
