This harbour is home to the whaling ships Hvalur 8, and Hvalur 9 which were in dock while we were there. These ships are moored right next to the whale watching companies. I think the Hvalur company are now permitted to kill well over 100 'vulnerable' fin whale, which is the second largest animal on the planet. Sad commercialism...
