We had a wonderful experience at Reykjavík Röst. We ordered two smoked salmon sandwiches, and the portion sizes were truly impressive. The amount of salmon was generous, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was very fresh, and the presentation was great. We especially enjoyed the combination of mustard with the salmon - this was something new for us. We’re visiting from Los Angeles, California, where smoked salmon sandwiches are typically served without mustard, so this unique twist was a delight. Great little find by the harbor while we were strolling in a Sunday afternoon. The staff is extremely friendly and the music and ambiance is welcoming.

We were in just for a quick coffee so we each ordered espresso macchiatos with soy and a croissant. The items came out fast and we were served at our table.

The folks around the coffeehouse kept to themselves. We noticed someone painting watercolor scenes of the harbor. It was calming to be in such a quaint environment.

We were walking by while it was snowing and looking for a lunch spot and we picked perfectly!

We only had savoury meals and based on that, would love to go back to try the sweet stuff. We had the open sandwiches which are generous in size and taste great! Food was very quick and presented nicely. All staff members were friendly and helpful.
