We had a pretty good experience at this cocktail bar and restaurant. We called in a reservation which is always good. We were greeted right away, but just from observing you could see they were having issues with service. Many tables looking to order or for tabs. We stayed. The host was a champ, stepping up getting things started. Craft cocktails were creative, tasty and eye-catching. We had the fresh fish in a pan and steak sandwich, both great selections. The fish did was fresh and exceptional. Our guests had burgers. They were good but had had spicier sauce on them not noted on the menu. It worked out. Overall a good experience but no real great connection to the place or staff. This place is located down by the water in...

We found Slippbarinn near Reykjavík harbour a good bar to enjoy local, Icelandic beer. With wonderfully efficient staff, speedy service and great atmosphere, it fulfils the description of what a modern bar should be. However, in the food department, I’m of the opinion the Slippbarinn could do better. We ordered the chicken wings and the calamari as bar snacks.

The calamari could have used more seasoning and the chicken wings were very inconsistent in terms of flavour, texture and moisture. To summarise, Slippbarinn is a good place for drinks close to the waterfront where you may catch a glimpse of the northern lights on a clear, dark night but as a food spot, Slippbarinn pales in comparison to some gastropubs...

Wish I could rate this restaurant no stars with the experience I got at dinner, our waitress was absolutely horrible. She was not attentive at all throughout our dinner. We waited over 2 hours for a simple plate of steak and French fries, that came out cold and not fully cooked. Then I asked her what types of dressing they had and she never came back and gave me my opinions and brought my salad and left and didn’t see her for the rest of our night. Another waiter ended up bringing back our steak to get cooked how we wanted it and still brought us back our steaks under cooked. Very bad experience Don’t waste your...

This cocktail bar is inside the Reykjavik Marina hotel, where we stayed, so it was nice not having to go outdoors in a winter storm. Cozy vibe and good volume music create a hygge atmosphere. The tequila based drink I had was good (not outstanding, but I’m a bit spoiled with fantastic drinks I’ve had in various places). The food menu is pretty limited, I’d recommend checking it out beforehand if you head here for dinner. The service was expectedly friendly.
