Got to taste variety of street foods @VVPURAM. 😁😁😁 Was not in full swing though as I was a first timer there... 😉😜 Thought were going on all the time during the ride, what will I do if the items were non veg and I won't get to taste🤔🤔🤔 Unfortunately it's a very small street with full of stalls and shops serving only veg items.. Dint even notice 🥚 🥚 🥚 served there. 🙄🙄🙄 புரட்டாசி சனிக்கிழமை வேற... நவராத்திரியும் 😅😅😳😳😅😅
Started with Chat ~ Nippat Masala.. I guess the shop name is Srinivasa Bangarpet Chats.. Charged me ₹30/- worth the price as the Nippat was so soft and crunchy with grated onions, carrot, karaboondhi, pori(bhel). 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Then walked a few feet and this liquid nitrogen cheese wafers smoking tempted me.. But was not keen on it today and so stepped away and noticed that there were lots of chats around to choose from and the boring spring potato deep fried. The color gave me signs not to taste it today so walked past those shops and Pheni caught my eyes and basundhi and jalebi and hot cold badam milk.. Tempted and cautious that having them right away will not let others to set in my Tummy moved off saying வந்து பார்த்துக்கலாம் 😅😅😉😉
Then came this Nandini Pure Ghee Dosa... Had lots of Avarebele items so ordered Avarebele Dosa and Avarebele Holige.. ₹60 & ₹20 each. Dosa was loaded with onion and Avare. Nice treat for my hungry eyes and Tummy yet the flavor of Ghee masked all other flavors which was a turn off for me. 👍🏽👍🏽 Holige was yummy and the ghee added real flavor to it. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
Took a few steps and found the Bajji shop which had the regulars yet Capsicum and 🍍 captured my eyes so I had them served 😁😁😅😅😅 Each ₹20. Capsicum was good and liked the half cooked taste with the hint of mint spicy Chutney and onions+carrot toppings👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Pineapple was simply 🤤🤤🤤 A must try. He added Chutney, chilli+salt powder and stuffed it with shredded onions and carrots. All the flavors were 😇😇😇
Took a Uturn and my legs knew which is the next spot than my tongue... 😉 😉 😉 Pheni with Hot Badam Milk it was. Had it after decades maybe.. 🤔🤔🤔. Was slurpy and little less sugary so enjoyed it. Yet was not happy with the badam milk cos despite the way it was boiling it was thinner to taste. 😏😏😏. Thoughts of dumping in Jalebi and Basundhi were haunting me but controlled myself saying we shall always come back 😁😁😁
Then before I went to take the bike from parking Kulfi stopped my from takin left to the bike and marched right. And there he was who served a awesome Malai Kulfi which just melted. I could feel full milk cream which was so soft unlike other kulfi sticks which were harder and took longer time to melt. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Read moreA night food Street which opens around 17:00, though, Google search lists it as opening at 19:00. Yes, at 17:00 the crowd is less and some of the food stalls are not open or are just opening for business. One still finds that the most of the food shops,/stalls are open. My friend liked the following things he tried - Banana bajji ( deep fried banana dipped in all purpose flour or gram flour ), Soft noodles with hot and sweet milk and finally, Russian cutlet ( who would believe that one could find Russian cutlet in VV Puram. :) ). I tried a gulab jamun, a sweetmeat. I loved it. Of course, one will find other traditional food like dosas idlis, samosas, chaats, Puris, lassi, fruit juices, tea, coffee, bhel Puri, etc. Con : The place does not have proper drainage system as a result one can smell the sewage from the drainage system under the road. Price : cheap to medium ranged. Disabled Friendly : All the stalls are by the roadside. So, one can sit in the car or auto and enjoy the yummy street food. Please note : One will not find any place to sit. One has to stand and eat at most of the stalls. Some of them have stools or benches to sit but most would be occupied during normal business hours, so be ready to have street food buffett style. Nearest Metro station : National College Metro Station. From here one can take an auto. It costs Rs. 30/- one way ( This fare is as of 19 December 2018 and without...

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in Rajasthan Malai Kulfi, and it was an absolute delight. This traditional Indian dessert captured the essence of authentic flavors in every bite.
The texture of the kulfi was velvety and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. What stood out was the rich infusion of malai (cream) that provided a luxurious and luscious taste, making each spoonful a heavenly experience.
The presentation was impeccable, served on a stick in a conical shape, which added to the overall appeal. The garnish of chopped nuts and saffron strands not only enhanced the visual appeal but also contributed a delightful crunch and aroma.
What I appreciated most about this Rajasthan Malai Kulfi was its authentic taste. It transported me to the streets of Rajasthan, where you can find the best kulfi vendors. It had that perfect balance of flavors and was not overly sweet, which allowed the essence of malai and spices to shine through.
Whether you're a kulfi connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Rajasthan Malai Kulfi is a must-try dessert that encapsulates the rich culinary heritage of India's desert state. It's a delightful treat for your taste buds, especially...
