"from official website, for those who don't want to switch apps":

The unique bond of determination and discipline, faith and courage. Shri Bansilalji was born in Moribeda, a village in the Pali district of Rajasthan. His wife, Smt. Sushila Devi was born in Boondi. Shri Bansilal’s father Shri Ramnath was a small shopkeeper. They were a family of four brothers and one sister. The family was not economically well off. But it was determination and the intense desire for success coupled with hard work that made him prosperous in the city of Pune. Shri Bansilal believed that he would be able to cross all obstacles. “One day I shall certainly taste the sweet taste of success, or I shall sleep the eternal sleep,” was his own declaration. This was illustrated in the life of Shri Bansilal. As he grew more prosperous, he began to feel a heightened sense of responsibility towards society, and his thoughts turned towards service. The Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust is closely involved in social, cultural, charitable and the welfare of society. Sushila Devi was an invaluable partner for Shri Bansilal in all his endeavours. She had arrived in Pune at the tender age of 14 with her husband. She used to be an avid reader of all the holy books, and she provided able support to her husband with her unshakable faith and perseverance. She was a partner in Shri Bansilalji’s social and religious activities overcoming the limitations imposed by domestic difficulties. Her decision-making abilities were truly exceptional and inspiring. In those days, having a bungalow opposite Sarasbaug, Pune was a matter of prestige. But instead of building a palatial residence there, it was her desire to build a temple. This temple has become dear to devotees not only in Pune and Maharashtra, but all over India. Get in Touch "From...

Temple represents the single spot where darshan can be obtained of all the three forms of Adi Shakti or the Divine Mother. Sri Mahasaraswati the Goddess of learning, Sri Mahalaxmi the Goddess of prosperity and Sri Mahakaali, the Goddess who liberates mortals from time and death. All the deities embody all the three gunas of tamas, rajas and sattva and are all present in this temple for the worship and adoration of devotees.

Mahalaxmi temple is 55 feet tall, 24 feet wide and the length of the temple roof is 54 feet long. This has been carved in the Dravidian style of architecture. Its entrance is very elaborately carved, and the pillars and walls inside have also been carved with intricate patterns that considerably enhance its beauty. The circumambulation around the temple is done by devotees who can pay tribute to the saints whose images have been carved on the temple walls – Saint Dynaneshwar, Saint Tukaram, Saint Tulsidas, Saint Jalaram, Saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Saint Kabir Das, Saint Sur Das, Sri Ramdas Swami, Saint Guru Nanak, Saint Ramakrishna Paramhans, Saint Basaveshwar, Saint Mirabai – 12 such saints can be worshipped by the devotees.

The deities of Goddesses Sri Mahasaraswati, Sri Mahalaxmi and Sri Mahakali are six feet tall and have been carved out of pristine marble. Artisans that worked on the temple arrived from the Kala Kendra at Jaipur. Amongst them was renowned Hemraj Sompura of Sumerpurand. The entire creation was done under the expert guidance of these sculptors. The temple took 12 years to complete. On 15th February 1984, the deities of the three Goddesses were consecrated and declared open for public worship at the hands of Teertha Swaroop Swami Shri...

Shri Mahalaxmi Mandir is the most revered temple of Pune. It is located at M. G. Road, just opposite to popular Sarasbaug. In this temple one can be blessed with all three forms of Adi shakti Maa Mahalaxmi, Mahakaali and Mahasaraswaati at one place. All goddesses idols are beautiful and attract much. Inside the temple you really feel different positive energy. Entire temple is made of pristine white marble in Dravidian style. Grand architecture, the spire of the temple is approx 55 ft tall. The pictures of twelve saints have been placed on the walls around the temple, some are Tulsidas, Kabirdas, Surdas, Meerabai,Tukaram Chaitanya mahaprabhu and many more. On special occasions temple get decorated with flowers and colourful lights, that looks awesome. No entry fee. Open close timing 6am to 1pm and 4pm to 10pm everyday.
