Gelateria Gianni — Attraction in Bologna

Really disappointing experience - appears like a cheaper feel yet was charged €5 for a cup (despite €4 clearly being displayed as the maximum price at the entrance)…. We didn’t actually finish it as all 3 flavours were disappointing. Our worst and most expensive ice cream of the trip. The reason for the poor review was not honoring the price you advertise

Literally the basis of my review was the maximum price on the entrance sign next to the til was €4, yet somehow we are charged 5 euro’s for a sign that is a few meters further back…. Not confusing at all despite the same amount of flavours etc being ordered.

Your gelati was full of sugar and actually being honest were the 3 worst scoops we had out of 20+ on this trip to Italy and im struggling to think of worse in our 200+ on our travels over Italy in general.

Take the feedback on board rather than baiting a customer who your wronged. Remove false advertising and improve your quality of product.

It was also overpriced compared to other gelato’s in Bologna , milan, and como.

Given Bologna is a cheaper city it amplifies just how overpriced it...

Aggiorno ancora mia recensione vedendo il tempismo piccato della "non risposta" nel merito delle coppette da 3 euro divenute microscopiche, precisando che siamo una coppia amante da oltre 80 anni del gelato italiano...Avendo 90 anni...In due. Avevamo promesso di tornare qui ad ottobre; ora salta anche ottobre. :-) L'Italia è piena di gelaterie; anche Bologna. Frequento questa gelateria da quando aveva il karaoke retrostante in sede molto più ampia lì vicino, quindi da oltre 30 anni. Recensione scritta nel 2019 con 5 stellette...Che ora aggiorno a 2 stellette lasciando in coda messaggio recensione di 4 anni fa. 3 stellette perse coincidenti da un lato con ultima ristrutturazione del tutto inutile se non "esteticamente dannosa", della serie come passare da una gelateria ad un negozio che dal verde scuro utilizzato, era adatto ad ospitare un'erboristeria... :-) Prima entrando si era sicuri di entrare in un'ottima gelateria, uscendone appagati qualitativamente e quantitativamente. Ora sedendosi nella saletta retrostante, ci manca solo odore di edera rampicamente interna, o saponi ed essenze varie visto il verde scuro che fa effetto da giungla metropolitana mancata...:-) Poi però, se ci si ricorda purtroppo benissimo quanto gelato si gustava con una coppetta da 3 euro...Ora con gli stessi 3 euro e dopo ultima ristrutturazione...La coppetta è di dimensioni da bimbi piccoli, in pratica una coppetta giocattolo. Benchmark altrettante gelaterie nelle marche, ancora ci mangi bene...Per non parlare dell'Abruzzo nord dove ancora ci fai tranquillamente cena col gelato da 3 euro...E che cena...Slurp! In sintesi sembra dalle altre recensioni che tutti siano entusiasti di gustare "un'idea di gelato". Chissà se dopo recensione così comparirà anche qualche altro che vorrebbe ancora mangiarsi un buon gelato ed uscirne appagato...Senza aver non tentazione ma necessità poi di mangiarne un altro...Magicamente in un'altra gelateria però. Riproveremo un cono cialda qui ma non prima di ottobre: prima a Bologna è già troppo caldo, si squagliano subito in mano con la caldazza tipica bolognese esterna, e all'interno si teme che passi qualche babbuino a fregartelo dalle mani in nuovo angolo verde scuro modello giungla metropolitana...:-) Ecco rimasta qui sotto precedente recensione 5 stelle del 2019:

We have discovered this Gelateria by chance, while looking for a place to have lunch and could not help ourselves to get back here and tried a Gelato. It was totally a good idea! Even the small size Gelato here is quite big for me. We have counted and they have around 34 variations on that day, some are very creative. On the walls you can see all kinds of trophies and awards that they have won over the years and locals also like to get their gelato here regardless what time it is, which we really like! Besides from their delicious ice cream (we have tried: pistachio with roasted salty almonds, strawberry, nougat and chocolate) they also have cakes which also look...
