Today whilst trying to buy tickets, i accidentally attended the wrong ticked desk as the signage was not clear. I informed th lady that the deck is not clear and I felt in comfortable going back to the front of the queue. I was then verbally attacked by the receptionist she shouted that she sold audio tours. Purtroppo l'Opa di Pisa continua a non rispettare la legge e non lascia accedere alle guide turistiche gratuitamente nei monumenti per motivi di studio.

"Il Decreto Ministeriale n. 507/1997 afferma che la Guida entra gratuitamente "nell'esercizio delle sue funzioni".

Il Decreto n. 239 del Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali del 20 aprile 2006 (art. 1, com. 3) ribadisce l'ingresso gratuito "ai luoghi della cultura" per le guide turistiche "nell'esercizio della propria attività professionale, mediante esibizione di valida licenza rilasciata dalla competente autorità" (Gazzetta uff. del 26-07-06).

Il Decreto n. 111 del 14-4-2016 non modifica il Decreto precedente.

Il Decreto n° 239 del 2006 accorda il biglietto gratuito "ai luoghi della cultura" per motivi di studio ed approfondimento anche a numerose categorie di studenti e professioni.

L'ingresso gratuito viene a volte interpretato in maniera restrittiva, cioè quando la guida illustra il sito monumentale ai turisti. Per "esercizio della propria attività professionale" deve invece considerarsi incluso anche il sopralluogo.
