TOURISTS BEWARE! WORST PIZZA IN PISA AND ITALY. Giving it one star is way too generous.
We walked through the street where this and many other restaurants are, and I thought this was the most appealing one as it was a bit to the side.
Prices were in line with the others, but still expensive. Margarita pizza was around 5€ (WITHOUT FRESH BASIL!), but as soon as you added 2-3 more ingredients, prices doubled for a poor piece of sausage and something. I decided to therefore order a Margarita and a small salad (Total: 10€). They took ages to serve the pizza. Why? Well, because it was frozen. Tomato sauce was dripping, super runny and disgusting. Cheese had been sitting in an oven for at least 20 minutes and had lost all humidity. Was not fresh at all. Basil was dried and burnt. Crust was like cheap bread which was burnt and oily, like when you burn buttered bread on a pan. Salad was normal but small. There was a tiny mosquito in it, but I want to belive it fell inside while I was eating...
I'd recommend everyone to go to a less touristy area where you'll find much better food. If you are on a budget and want to stay near the tower... bring your own food or go to subway. Go to all antico vinaio in florence if you are sleeping there and take your sandwich on the trip. But PLEASE, don't fall for any of these tourist trap restaurants.
When we complained to the rude and unpolite waiters, they said "Thank you Thank you" as they don't know english / care. Just look at their response to this review....
This was the worst part of our journey.
At least they gave me a reason to go back: to return the food at the bathroom - which was also weird and dirty, not following Covid-19 sanitary...

One of the most expensive restaurants in Italy, albeit obviously location dependent. It's in a beautiful scenic spot and is absolutely well decorated/present.
However, the food is entirely sub-par. I embarrassingly had to send back my first main because the taste of it made is practically inedible and was coated in ladles of pure fat. The service was lovely in the sense that they removed the plate and let me order another dish. I got a steak, thinking, a delicious easy dish that's hard to ruin. They gave me an unseasoned steak which, to be fair was well cooked, perfectly rare as requested. Nevertheless, they gave me the same 4 roast potatoes I had left from the previous plate and small dismal salad with a sprinkle of grated parmesan.
Now, the reason for the one star rating - they tried charging me for the dish I didn't eat. On top of that they included a per person service charge (5 euros per person on table). This ensued an argument and they embarrassed theirselves and me They even started boasting about the poor quality of their ingredients, weirdly.
In the end I didn't pay for the bad dish however, it was still a very expensive restaurant and I definitely would not recommend their food or their etiquette.
AVOID.

Read moreUnfortunately we had the worst meal on our trip to Italy here. Staff were friendly but the food was terrible. Stake you wouldn't give to your dog, chewy and hard to cut and the side dishes were no better. I don't usually write reviews but the food here was so bad I felt I had to alert customers after paying a bill of €99 for steak, 2 sides and 2 drinks. When we complained about the food we were met with plank faces. This kitchen need a serious rethink on its food and clean the oil in their fryer. Very disappointing when it has such a lovely location.
