A delightful and tranquil spot amidst the bustling surroundings

Bistrot dell’Opera offers a serene retreat within the lively area near the Leaning Tower and Cathedral. The portion sizes are generous, providing a satisfying dining experience. The price-to-value ratio is reasonable, making it a worthwhile stop during your visit.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is charming, offering a peaceful setting despite the busy environment outside. It's an ideal place to take a break between sightseeing, with the added bonus of a fantastic view of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The quality of the food and beverages is excellent, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. Cleanliness is well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable experience.

Service is prompt, with reasonable waiting times even during peak hours. Accessibility is commendable, as the café is situated within the museum complex, which provides facilities to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility.

While specific information about parking is not available, the location is easily reachable via public transportation, making it convenient for most visitors.

Overall, Bistrot dell’Opera is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy quality refreshments in a serene setting, enhanced by its proximity to Pisa's...

Lovely views off the Pisa tower from seating area on the Balcony! We went for lunch an Drinks an to enjoy the views, which didn't dissapoint. I order the cheese burger. When i bite into the burger I could see it weren't fully cooked! I then cut it in half to see what the center looked like. It was raw an undercooked! I spoked to the waiter, which informed me that's the way they cooked there burgers. Tho my friend had a burger aswell which was fully cooked! So he offered to take it back. He then returned bk with the same burger. Which was absolutely ruined an disgusting! As they put the whole burger, bun and salad in the microwave to reheated until fully cooked! The Lettuce had turned black, the burger bun was rock solid from being in the microwave, the tomatoes was all mushy. The same waiter heard me discussing with my friend that they had put the burger in the microwave. An ruined it so he came over to the table to see what was the problem I told that this has been microwave he said yes! Told him it was ruined but he didn't seem bothered. In most restaurants, if a customer is unhappy or sends back a plate off food. They get a freshed plate off food!! Not bang in the microwave an send back. I know it was the same burger as I've taken a bite off it. An that's how it came back. One unhappy customer definitely wouldn't...

Ah, the views! Eating lunch while staring at the Leaning Tower of Pisa felt like dining in a postcard—gorgeous.

I ordered a pizza, expecting to dig in and bask in cheesy glory. Instead, they served it whole, uncut, like a medieval challenge. No knife sharp enough, no dignity left as I wrestled my mozzarella in front of judgmental pigeons.

On the bright side, the fruit salad was a surprise hit! Actual fresh fruit—no sad, icy blueberries or those mysterious syrup-drenched cubes from a can. Just crisp, refreshing bites that made me believe in summer again.

Finished with an espresso affogato that promised a dramatic coffee-meets-gelato moment but it was Mid. Like a Tinder date who talks about cryptocurrency.

Come for the view. Stay if you enjoy slicing your own pizza and being silently judged by waitstaff.

Would I return? Maybe—with my own pizza cutter and lower...

Before I get here I read a reviews and instructions how to get here as its often described as "hidden gem", mostly for the exclusive view and proximity of Pisa Tower. So, entrance is from the main door of Museo dell'Opera del Duomo and then you go 2 floors up on your right side right after entry. There are also signs. Its really exclusive place regarding the position. Regarding the food - you will not be surprised that the prices are 10-20% higher then in other places more far from the Tower, for the obvious reason. People come here even to drink coffee and take a photos. My mozzarella and prosciutto was excellent, I liked less the spaghetti carbonara as the spaghetti were slightly undercooked than al dente, and too much sauce, but fine.

Brilliant views, very easy to get seated and walk in. Please see photo attached. However, service was poor as had glasses smashed (totally fine, things happen) but the glass went into all of our stuff and onto my boyfriend’s knee. The waiter did seem in shock so understood why he left and did clean it up quickly. But there was no apology, no new drink when my coke had glass shards in the bottle and no coverage on the bill for the incident (not compulsory but if there was no apology, there must be something that acknowledged the incident). The carbonara was scrambled and did not taste very nice so I left mine. However, I feel like if you are looking for a quick drink or a desert this place could go a long way.
