I will be forever thankful to Sabrina, her manager and colleagues at the Sinopie Museum. About a week ago, my cat who travels often and well, had a bathroom accident outside the Leaning Tower of Pisa after a long day. As I opened his carrier to remove the diaper, totally out of his character and as if he was suddenly possessed by some spirit, he escaped both the carrier and the leash and sprinted straight into the Sinopie Museum and disappeared under the staircase where ventilation equipment was stored. As I couldn't see him in the dark space under the staircase, I thought I had lost him forever and he would just get lost and starve to death in the ventilation tunnels of the museum. Sabrina and her many colleagues (sorry I don't know their names) not only helped to calm me, but also helped me to eventually locate and rescue my cat. It was a very strange day and I was just so thankful that it was a happy reunion at the end. My cat and I are now back home in the US and I just can't say thank-you enough to the staff members at the...
Read moreThis is a very interesting museum with frescoes (sinopies) of various paintings presented in an area of two floors. You need a ticket to get in (it is included to the combined basic pack 3 monument pass). The museum is very well set, modern design, large spaces, areas to sit, look and study the artwork. On the ground floor there are a couple of screenings. The one is about the content of the museum which is unfortunately only in Italian while the other presents the story/restoration process of the leaning tower. Very informative overall.

Read moreI had decided to skip this museum but decided to just look at it for five minutes and leave. I ended up staying very happily. You will be able to see reproductions of how all the frescoes were when they were complete, understand how they were painted, and also see how they do the restoration work. It is a small museum, but it gives you an experience you cannot have anywhere else as the sinoples themself are never separated from a fresco (it is allways behind it). It is separated here due to the fire that broke during the fight against the Nazis, so it is not a...
