I really wish 0 stars was an option. Disgusting experience with the “employees” running this lift. The woman running the ticket counter was unable to answer any questions about either lift. We asked for a round trip ticket just to be sure we’d have a way back down. What we didn’t know until we were returning was that we were sold a one way ticket instead(I feel like we were taken advantage of in our confusion). Thankfully they let us on at the top after we explained that we had asked for a return ticket when purchasing but didn’t receive one, with the agreement we’d speak with the staff at the bottom. When we reached the bottom whoever was in charge pulled us aside to the ticket booth and berated us for being terrible tourist expecting a “free ride.” When I explained that his employee gave us the wrong ticket originally he told us there was no way for us to leave without paying another €60 for one way tickets. I told him multiple times I had no problem paying €19 difference since there must have been some confusion when we first bought our ticket earlier in the day(why there isn’t an option for people to do this anyways is unusual as many other places have the option to upgrade afterwards). In our case we wanted the round trip ticket since we knew there was inclement weather coming in and we didn’t wish to do the hike we had originally planned. He continued to tell us we just wanted a “free ride” and that “all year these tourist do the same as you.” From the beginning he just treated us as if we were taking advantage of the service and didn’t want to pay. For someone who makes a HEFTY living off of tourist(€30-39.50 per ticket), he sure seems to despise any tourist. If we didn’t want to pay we wouldn’t have shown up in the first place. If you can find other options up to the top, TAKE THEM, this was practically robbery after €120 in tickets and €13 in parking for less...
Read moreIt costs 45 euro per adult for a round trip. My son is 7 years old and it is free for him. It is good to take the round trip if you have kids with you. It takes time to experience different scenic spots on the top. There are small huts around where you can take a break and enjoy a meal. Kids like to play at the playgrounds, so save your energy and take your time to do the circle hiking on the top instead. We took the early Cable Car around 9 am and went back around 3 Pm. We parked our car at the parking garage near the cable car station. It costs 2.5...
Read moreOne of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Yes it’s a little pricey, but the scenery is second to none. This area is one of the biggest draws, and it’s for good reason.
It’s seems the negative views are about price (fair critique, it’s not cheap), lots of tourists (duh, it’s a resort town), the “rude” operators, (you know this people keeping tourists safe, while knowing multiple language. how dare they!?!) and local gatekeepers. Honestly it seems like they were written by people who need a good...
