We recently had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant located within Hotel Mon Repos, and We must say that it was an absolutely exceptional experience. From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care that made us feel right at home.
The true star of this establishment is undoubtedly the owner, Julia. Her unwavering passion for her craft shines through every aspect of the dining experience. Julia's attentive and friendly nature made us feel like valued guests, and her genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction was truly heartwarming.
One cannot discuss our dining experience without mentioning the delectable food. The dishes were not only delicious but also served in an incredibly beautiful manner. Each plate was carefully crafted, displaying an artistic flair that elevated the entire dining experience. It was evident that the chef and the culinary team poured their heart and soul into every dish, creating a symphony of flavors that delighted our taste buds.
The restaurant's location in the midst of a serene garden, surrounded by olive trees with a stunning view of the lake and park, added an enchanting touch to our evening. As we indulged in our meal, the soothing melodies of birdsong provided a natural soundtrack that further enhanced the ambiance. It was a truly enchanting setting that transported us to a place of tranquility and relaxation.
What impressed us even more was the affordability of the experience. Despite the outstanding quality of both the service and the cuisine, the prices were more than reasonable. This restaurant undoubtedly offers one of the best value for money propositions in town. It's rare to find such exceptional care, delicious food, and breathtaking surroundings all wrapped up in an affordable package.
In conclusion, our dining experience at the restaurant within Hotel Mon Repos was nothing short of extraordinary. Julia, the passionate and caring owner, ensured that every detail was taken care of, making us feel like cherished guests. Read moreIt's a shame to have to give this hotel a bad review as the staff were really nice but the room we received looked absolutely nothing like the ones advertised on Booking.com or Google and we even told them in advance it was our honeymoon, not expecting and upgrade or anything, just hoping we would get a nice room. I should have taken a photo but unfortunately I didn't, for reference it was room 125, you could barely fit a suitcase and it doesn't look it's been touched in 40 years. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything. ||The bathroom was just awful, shower too small to even wash my hair without hitting my elbows off the doors. ||It did however have a lovely view of the lake. ||We stayed 2 nights but I can't comment on the cleanliness as we just didn't see the point as we used the shower once and decided to wait till the next hotel to shower again and didn't see the point in having the bed made, it was clean when we checked in though.|Breakfast was fine, pastries, fruit, toast and a small cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Coffee available to be brought to your table. ||The positives are the grounds are beautiful, short walk from the centre but just enough out of the way to appreciate the quiet as well and the pool was nice. ||At €410.80 for 2 nights though, it was a disappointment, we really expected more...Or even just to look like the photos on Booking.com. So just be aware, good location, not...
Read moreThe hotel is in a beautiful location with a lovely view of the lake and the staff is very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the plus side ends there. The walls are paper thin and the doors are made from cardboard, so every sound becomes extremely noisy. You can hear other guests talk, go to the toilet, flushing and showering. Our room was at the end of a corridor, and we could hear everything from the reception at the OTHER END. It really is a shame, the surroundings are quiet (which is partly why we booked here), but the hotel itself is noisy. The beds were very out of date. They’ve tried to spruse them up with new covers, but it doesn’t help. I could feel the springs coming through the mattress and the blankets/duvets were some brown thing from the 70’s that should have been burned 20 years ago. (I don’t know if this is the standard in Italy, but it’s not what i’ve experienced anywhere else before.) Breakfast was fine though, mostly cakes but also had a selection of yoghurt, meats, bread, eggs etc. It’s served in a nice glazed-in veranda with a view of the lake and garden. The garden is lovely for a stroll and the pool area is fine. It does have safe parking, but it...
