I can honestly say that I will remember the stay in Hotel Olivi with great fondness. We stayed here for 8 days with our dog and definitely will be back! The people and place are very much a delightful example of Italian hospitality. Amenities: First of all, it's a relatively small resort hotel. It's a family business with very nice owners. No overcrowding feeling even when a lot of people stayed over the weekend. At the same time, Sirmione was overrun by tourists (first time with no restrictions) but the hotel provided a sanctuary from the wild crowd. Facilities are abundant, maintained clean & tidy. Outdoor pool with sun loungers, towels & pool bar. SPA with very professional treatments and amenities to enjoy! There's a shaded garage and reception kindly let us store our paddleboard there once we pumped it up. I'm a garden person so I need to compliment a very aesthetic & practically landscaped garden with an olive & lemon tree grove and a rose-covered veranda, providing shade and space to chill or work in during hot hours of the day. The hotel lobby is nicely designed and has multiple areas to chill or work. Location: 5 minutes from everywhere in Sirmione, including the beach (10 if you need to carry a paddleboard!). 20-minute ride from Dezacano del Garda train station (30E for a taxi, train to/from Verona/Milan is every hour), but there's also a bus connection - we just had a dog and a lot of luggage. There's also a local bus that shuttles people to Colombare. Sirmione streets are REALLY narrow, even by Italian standards. Room: We took the room with the view to the back. Probably bit noisier, than the garden view, but cooler - what mattered for our dog. We've got a much bigger room than we expected. Very nice modern bathroom. The only issue (the hotel may want to address) was the connection to the next room that made us hear the TV of the neighbours, but we sorted this out between each other. Otherwise, rooms are very clean, well maintained and pleasant. You can order breakfast to bed too. Hospitality: The atmosphere & hospitality was extraordinary (and really mean it) - everyone was very kind and helpful. We arrived by night train very early in the morning and left the same way late evening and staff made all sorts of arrangements for us. The hotel staff makes it a really personal experience for you, which is actually very unique. Food: Simply amazing! We have scouted restaurants and bars in Sirmione and can honestly conclude the food in the restaurant and pool bar is Michelin level quality. The wine selection includes local Lugana varieties and the headwaiter is very knowledgeable in terms of food and wine selection. Barman is really skilled in cocktails - I strongly recommend the experience of cocktails with locally produced alcohol, you will hear interesting stories too! Dog: It's a 5* destination to travel with a dog. The staff is very relaxed & helpful about it! Our dog was lounging under the sun lounger at the poolside most of the day and there was a crowd of other dogs staying at the same time, no inconvenience caused to other guests. Sum up: We had an amazing week and put that hotel on the list of places we want to spend...

We recently traveled (early April 2025) to Northern Italy from the United States for a birthday celebration. We arrived to the Olivi Hotel as our second destination in the early afternoon. We were well-treated by the hotel staff during check-in. We were given several recommendations for lunch in the local shopping area and we were happy to walk down the hill for lunch and shopping. After several hours (including both lunch and dinner), we returned to the hotel for drinks at the bar and were delightfully treated with local spritzes and beer. There were cats around the property and inside the public space, including the bar area, of the hotel. The cats are very nice and most are playful. Our party sat, had drinks and played with the cats. It's clearly a very charming part of the property.||We ultimately retired to our rooms and learned that the air conditioning had not been turned on yet within the hotel. It was unseasonably warm outside (which was great for our trip) but also made the rooms unseasonably room for sleeping. We ultimately opened the windows and enjoyed the cooler night air. For us, it made a great experience once we opened the windows. The room was otherwise fantastic and we slept well.||The following morning, we were treated to a very nice breakfast buffett that was better than expected. The second day was similar to the first day. We were well-treated by staff who had recommendations for us about potential activities. Later in the day, we returned to the hotel, sat at the bar and played with the cat. ||Ultimately, our stay at the Olivi Hotel was excellent. We would highly recommend. The cats, for us, were very positive but should be noted if severe allergies are present. The cats were not present in the eating areas, the public halls or hotel rooms. The only other mildly negative comment was related to the spa options available. We did not arrange spa reservations prior to arriving at the hotel. Unfortunately, we were told that there were no available times for us at the spa either of the days that we stayed at the Olivi Hotel. We did not visit the hotel for the spa so it was not a problem but if you desire this experience, I would plan to pre-book to ensure you have the possibility.||Altogether, highly recommend. It was an experience that will be...

A truly wonderful stay at Hotel Olivi. Our first time staying and we were there for 7 fantastic nights. The hotel is situated in a quiter part of Sirmione, only a few minutes walk from the main town where the restaurants, shops and ice cream places are. It's a lovely little walk, well lit with nice views. The location means that it avoids the busyness and noise during the day whilst also being close enough to easily explore the town and go out for meals. Our room was lovely with a wonderful view from the balcony of the lake and overlooking the hotel pool and gardens. The bed was very big and comfortable, the shower was huge and the rest of the bathroom was very clean. The room also had plenty of space for storing clothes, a large tv and lovely decor. We were able to access the outdoor pool for free when the weather was nice and lounge by the pool. And when the weather was wet we opted to use the spa which is discounted for hotel users, featuring both an indoor and outdoor pool with thermal waters. Both pools were lovely and warm, featuring a variety of different features that made them very relaxing and well worth the money for our 3 hour slot. If you're staying, I throughly recommend visiting the spa at least once just for the experience. The breakfast offers a vast array of different options, including many different pasties, meat platters, fruit selections, cakes, filled and plain croissants, pancakes and waffles, breads and yogurts. There really is something for everyone and enough to try that every morning can start with a different delicious meal. We were also pleasantly surprised with the lunch options on the days when it was raining too much to go out. The quality of the food was higher than most of the restaurants we tried in the rest of Sirmione and for a reasonable price. The pasta and pizza options were supreme and throughly enjoyed. We didn't eat there any evenings so can't comment, but can throughly recommend lunch and breakfast. The service was always exceptionally friendly and helpful. We've recently got back from a week staying here - it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays we've ever had! Despite a wet arrival, Hotel Olivi still looked beautiful. We were greeted from the taxi with an umbrella and our cases were taken into reception for us. The staff were just as helpful and friendly the rest of our stay, nothing was too much trouble! A special mention for Suri who was always smiling and just seemed genuinely happy to help! Also, to the hotel/restaurant manager, who noticed we'd not been back to dinner after the first night and asked if everything was OK as we were half board - my wife is a very picky eater and we had opted to head into town for some more variety - he then offered that we could have lunch instead of dinner if we prefer, or they could make something off menu for her. This showed us just how much the staff care that their guests are happy and enjoying everything about their stay. We also used the spa quite a bit, which was really nice too. The ladies in there were super friendly as well, always greeting us with a smile. The whole place - hotel, rooms, pool area, spa, restaurant, etc. - were all incredibly clean and nicely finished too. One thing to bear in mind regarding location - the hotel is situated beyond the Castle and old town, which would make it a little difficult if you wanted to be going out in a car on a regular basis - not impossible, but the streets of the old town are very narrow in places and busy with people from 9am to 11pm, and closed to traffic on Sundays. That said, if you're happy to mostly be in the local area, it also means very few cars around and an extremely peaceful setting, so it does have it's advantages too! There are also ferries to other towns around the lake, so that's a good way to get to other places, just a short walk away, and there are buses and taxis from just the other side of the castle, just a little further on, so you can still definitely get around as long as you don't mind a little walking - I'm sure reception would have called us a taxi too, had we asked.

A few days here for our short break to Lake Garda. Rented a car and drove to this hotel from Milan Bergamo airport BGY. Takes approx 1hr 10m to get to the hotel via the toll road (an easy drive using Google maps) apart from the crazy Italian drivers, they obviously don't cover safe stopping distances in their driving tests! You have to drive through the ZTL zone to get to the hotel and have to supply your car number plate to the hotel in advance to access the zone. Do this via email or phone call and when you arrive at the ZTL, the barrier will read your plate and let you in. Then comes the fun part! You have to navigate through the crowds down small lanes that are barely wider than your car, a real eye opener! Just take your time and it's fine. A lovely welcome from the hotel and parking available on site (€10 per day). Staff parked the car for me while I took cases up to the room. Lovely clean and modern room with lovely porcelain tiles. Not the best view from our room (360) but you can't have great views from every room. Lovely big superking bed that is firm but comfortable. Good air con in the room and lovely big Samsung TV with all the usual apps. USB sockets available either side of the bed, perfect to charge your phones over night. Breakfast was lovely, served on the verandah with views of the lake, with a great selection, the croissant are delicious. A good selection of juices to choose from too. Pool area nice and chilled, found 2 loungers after lunch time so no need to do any silly towel reservations. Didn't eat dinner here so can't comment on this. Good location allows a short walk to Grotte Di Castillo and Jamaica Beach (a bit up hill if going direct from the hotel, for those with mobility issues I'd recommend the land train available just up the road towards town). Very friendly and helpful staff, thanks go out to them for making our stay a good one. Overall I'd recommend and would probably stay here again if coming back to Sermione. Grazie Mille!
