Usually i do not writte so long reviews but I m so dissapointed that i will use 5 min of my life to writte about this - one of worst dinning experience in my life considerring value for money: we reserved table for 3 ppl (2 adults and 1 child) week in advance based on positive reviews we saw on google I tried to order suprise cake for my wife's birthday by email in advance but they told me they r fully booked, after I wrote we allready have reservation they just wrote that we reserved table for 4 and not for 3...so no cake, not even a question but i supposed they do not understand english well so decided to give it a try they gave us a small table for 2 and tried to squezze me on a passage to stairs we asked for other table and they gave us same small table but this time they put me on a sidewalk where passangers are walking?! I was reading they have i nice view but restaurant is on a road and majority of tables are looking on passangers and cars driving by restaurant after all they found us a proper table inside it was a first table next to entrance and sidewalk, we felt like in shop window while passangers were loking in our plate my wife got a dirty plate, we asked for different one once they serve you they r so fast with taking the plates that it feels more like a fast food and it seemed they just want to get rid of us food was bellow the average (patato seemed like it s not baked, vegetables also), pasta bolognese was ok, nothing special, I would prepare a better meal at home and believe me I m not a good cook waiter tried to speek on russian with us several times, I told him we r croatians and not russians, we were annyways speaking with them on english....that was like a cherry on a top, he could at least ask us where you from before starting to speak with us on russian we paid overpriced meal and ran away without dessert and birthday cake
In general, tipical tourist trap with overpriced meal and lousy service and I hope this review will help someone.
This restaurant will not see me, my family or my friends never...
Read moreSo as one who has traveled almost all over the island and as many as 50 different restaurants, I have found the worst at last, Cold and hostile service on the part of the owner Food that arrived cold Simply not tasty dishes and tasteless and lifeless. Dry bread thrown on the table.
All this and the owner walks around with his nose up as if he got Michelin.
Poor and ridiculous place And most importantly the imaginary price they charged for a plate of pasta
Under the nickname "special dish"
I got half-cooked pasta with mushroom sauce and wine, tasteless, one of the worst dishes I have eaten and traveled almost all over the world
For this poor dish he took no less than 20 Euros !!!!!!
robber..
So do yourself a favor and go to a restaurant that respects itself and you.

Answer The owner knows not to accept constructive criticism:
My friend the villager, you're talking to a man who tasted every corner of Taormina, and as one who paid 20 euros for a salad too, do not worry about my livelihood believe me I can buy your place too if I saw the need, there is no economic interest here there is a matter of quality, I I ate 2 types of pasta with you and they were terrible, the worst I have ever eaten in the whole world, even if it cost one euro it was still terrible, I recommend you focus on what you are good at and it is not really pasta, and your resentment that you work 16 hours is also seen in the...
Read moreI went to Da Nino as a solo female traveller, on a recommendation from my hotel. The girls there raved about the sea urchin pasta. This was out of season but Nino said "leave it with me". I am a control freak, but I was a control freak on holiday so I put myself in his hands. Out came Papardelle Signorina - an off-menu dish served with tiny flavoursome shrimps and generous shavings of black truffle. The papardelle was just perfect, with a wonderful emulsione. Secondi was another special dish of two fillets of sea bass with potato and zucchini layered on top and a bit of caponata on the plate too - so I decided not to order a vegetable side. For dessert I ordered peach in wine - it was at the height of its season and absolutely delicious. All this together with an oyster to start and house white came to about €50 for the best meal I ate in Taormina. Note that they were happy to serve just pasta and were not expecting me to fit more into my 55kg frame - but the food was good and my greed knows no bounds.
I did not book but it was the end of the season - 31 August, and quite early in the evening. Service was so swift I think I was only there an hour, but I didn't feel at all hurried. Sadly it was the last night of my holiday or I would...
