GO HERE! We had an absolutely amazing experience here tonight. We have been in Taormina for 8 days and this was our last dinner and our absolute favorite so far. We didn't have a reservation and just walked over at 7pm to look at the Gardens first (great location) but there was already a line formed so we hopped in and talked to the wonderful Francesco who greeted us. He had us come back ten minutes later to see if nobody showed up for their reservation, our luck they didn't! (you should make a reservation though because they have a TON each night and you may not be as lucky)! The ambiance was fantastic, they have wine lining the shelves on the wall and the staff are so amazing! Francesco checked on us multiple times and read us the specials and the owner comes over and takes everybody's order. She is an absolute gem! Very helpful with the menu since I couldn't decide what I wanted. We ended up starting with the buratta and tomatoes which were SO GOOD, the spaghetti and meatballs (UNBELIEVABLE FLAVOR AND PORTION SIZE) and my friend had the el' aglio e olio with truffle which was also AMAZING. She steered us in the right direction for wine, we almost ordered a bottle we wouldn't have liked and we absolutely loved what we had, another favorite of our trip. Then, we finished with dessert and since it was our last night we had 2 (somehow) and they were incredible. The Panna Cotta with basil sugar and strawberries is to die for and so delicious and the mousse which is also incredible. Everything was amazing and I would tell someone coming to Taormina to go here before anywhere else! Thank you for having us and...
Read moreNestled among the picturesque alleys of Taormina, Rosmarino offers far more than a meal—it delivers a refined yet deeply authentic Sicilian dining experience. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed with genuine warmth and an atmosphere that blends rustic charm with understated elegance.
The menu is a masterclass in Sicilian tradition, reimagined with a modern touch. Every dish reflects a deep respect for local ingredients—fragrant herbs, just-caught seafood, and sun-ripened produce take center stage. The homemade pasta is exceptional: perfectly al dente and paired with vibrant sauces that let each component shine. Standouts include the tonnarelli with red prawns and pistachio, and the grilled amberjack, delicately seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Equally impressive is the curated wine list, which highlights the best of Sicilian and Etna vineyards. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, always ready to recommend a pairing that elevates your meal without being intrusive.
Service is seamless—attentive yet relaxed—striking the perfect balance between professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. You feel as though you're being hosted by a close friend who happens to be an exceptional chef.

Arrived to a busy restaurant, which we thought was a good sign. Started off with our drink order delivered incorrectly which wasn’t a big deal.
Went down hill from here. Muscles to start were frozen muscles with no tastes, also the smallest muscles I have ever seen (I am from England) we manage to farm better muscles than this restaurant can source who are located on the Ionian Sea. I complained about the muscles and was told someone would be over to resolve this, no one came over and a waitress with a sour faced came and removed them with nothing further said.
I thought the main would get better, was served a €30 fillet of beef (see picture) which was a grizzly tiny piece of meat. With huge bed of shaved cabbage, which was bizarre. And a sour lemon sauce. Paid €8 for roast potatoes and was served a bowl of soggy microwaved potatoes.
Again waitress saw I hardly touched my meal and asked if ever was ok, I told her it was awful and she smiled and walked away.
We paid and left. Worst food experience in Taormina, I cannot understand the good reviews.
I suspect possibly we visited on a bad day, but would have been nice for a managed to come over and talk with us. Instead we had a snappy rude waitress come over to take out payment with a sour face.
I...
