I have to be honest, judging on the rate I was charged alone, I didn't have very high expectations for this hotel (might be standard in the area, but where I'm from, paying around 50 euro a night will barely get you a hostel, let alone a good hotel), but boy was I wrong.||||First of all, the location couldn't be any more convenient, located just a block from Tenjin station (one of the major hubs in Fukuoka), the immediate area has everything you might ever need, from pubs and restaurants to shopping malls and entertainment centers. Also, most of the major attractions in the city (the Canal city mall, the Fukuoka castle ruins, popular sites for food stalls, Fukuoka tower, and so on) are either within walking distance or easily accessible via the Tenjin subway station.||||As for the hotel itself, it's nowhere near what one would expect with the rates they're charging. Even at 200 euro a night, I doubt many would be disappointed. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are very spacious considering Japanese standards. Everything is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the system used for room cleaning is extremely convenient (if you want your room cleaned you put a sign on the door before 2pm, no sign on the door and no one will bother you).||||Now, as a swede, I'm used to fantastic hotel breakfasts (nordic hotels tend to have very good breakfasts, and traveling outside the nordic tends to be a bit disappointing in that department), and I have to say I was surprised at how good the quality of the breakfast actually was. The standard in Japan seems to be to serve some kind of mix of Japanese and European food, and that was the case here as well, but the amount of options available, and the quality of those options, really set this hotel aside from many others. Also, the range and quality of deserts offered were well beyond my expectations.||||All in all, I think it's safe to say the Monterey La Soeur offers a hotel experience that very few people would find disappointing, and I highly recommend it to anyone...

Read moreSpend money to buy discomfortUsing the TRIP.COM system to SEARCH Fugang Hotel (Picture 1), I entered 2 adults and 1 6-year-old child, and recommended this hotel and 3-person room (I thought that a 6-year-old in the hotel would be an adult, so I had to stay in a 3-person room )Based on the system recommendations and looking at the picture (Picture 2), I booked this room type of 25.6 square meters, thinking it should be good. It's a pity that when CHECK IN, the hotel gave room 706, (Picture 2-4). This room is the smallest room on the same floor. Only one child can enter and exit the corridor. It's super small!!! The suitcase can't even be opened!I paid a total of ~hk$1100. It is really not worth it to stay in this kind of room. After communicating with customer service, they said that Hotel 706 is also an average of 25.6 meters. I really can’t understand it.Conclusion everyone, be careful, don’t be fooled by the system (booking a room for 3 people), don’t trust the system, it’s not worth spending 1 extra bed fee for a child to book a room for 3 people, it’s better to book a large double bed (it’s better to share the same bed with a child) )other:This hotel is quite old. There are other good options at the same price, but the location is very good. I didn’t order breakfast, so I’m not sure.Free coffee in the lobby, friendly...
