YOU CANT BEAT SUSHIRO IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY SUSHI FOR A FAIR PRICE! I love the Kyushu specials i think they are the best. Better than both the kansai, tokyo/kanto specials. And I don’t know if it is just me, but the quality of the sushi is much better here in the kyushu region sushiro than anywhere Up north. I can’t wait to try hokkaido tho. But anyways, 7000 jpy for 35 plates (including the more expensive and a lot of the uni tekamaki). If I didn’t get the expensive ones, it would have been closer to 45 plates or more. Wait time was 1 hour because it was peak, which is understandable. We did eat here at 9pm one time and the wait...

We have tried Sushiro in Machida before and my son wanted to eat at this branch in Fukuoka. The line was long when we arrived and when it was our turn, we were ushered to sit at the counter. I ordered plates of my favorite sushi - ebi and sake. I also tried a plate of their special maguro sushi. One of my orders got lost in the line, so we reported it to the staff. They replaced it promptly. You can make your own green tea and have unlimited gari ( pickled ginger). After you're done eating, the staff will count the plates you've finished and you can pay the bill at the machine on your way out. That dinner with the conveyor...

I got curious when I saw long waiting lines every evening. I went for lunch so I didn't have to wait. They put cheese and a koriander (?) sauce on sushi here. And stacks of negi. Interesting stuff. However, I prefer onion and mayo on the roasted nigiri. Orders are made with a touchscreen that can be set to English. It won't let me order onion instead of cheese or regular mayo. I did not travel to Japan to eat cheese. Taste is not bad, and it's really cheap. Guess that explains the lines? (PS: I can't seem to delete the photo's that I accidentally uploaded. They obviously don't belong...
