Gojikken Nagaya - Kanazawa castle — Attraction in Kanazawa

Kanazawa Castle Grounds is free to roam, but I would definitely recommend paying the admission fee to learn more about the history and restoration of this castle. It also describes the methods of defence and the architectural decisions behind its original construction which was very informative and cool to notice after leaving and walking around the perimeter of it outside. Great surprise in the middle of Kanazawa. We knew about the garden next to the castle and castle grounds, but were very positively surprised by this experience. The garden area is vast and lovely. As someone who lives in Tokyo, it felt very open and almost empoty of people. The castle itself if also great, and with continued restoration and expansion ongoing, it would defitnely be a place we would ocme back to on a future...
