Great overview of the gorge. There is no need to do the climb from park. Instead go to Sagano Bamboo then head towards the Arashiyama Torokko Station. Then from there head towards Kameyama Park. There will only be a short 1-2 mins climb instead.

Accessible by walking up through Kameyama Park. Nice view of the valley and foliage. Apparently, you could see the Sagano scenic railway train at the far point near the river at specific times, but we did not want to wait under the sun. Foliage should be amazing during autumn. But it was already quite varied and...
