Small building and garden, and good place to chill, enjoy matcha with Japanese sweets or coffee with cookies. The building is not fully heated during winter months, but there is a small warm room for 4-6 people. Not a super impressive place, so can deprioritise this if your schedule is busy. But if you few hours of free time, then you can spend 1 hour here to enjoy the peaceful ambience. Parking is easy during winter months. Few free parking lots just...

Beautiful architecture, they had different events in different seasons, and this time it was the line up of dolls, from hundreds of years ago until recent years handmade dolls. The "house" itself is a remnant of the older Japanese style, which involves passage ways through different rooms of the house. There is a small entrance fee (less than 500 yen), they also offer a small selection of drinks. A good place to visit...

A beautiful traditional Japanese building where you can explore the building and admire its stunning architecture and interiors. The staff are very kind and attentive, and the coffee and cookies we had while looking out the window into the gorgeous garden were absolutely delicious! If you are anywhere near this place, and you have the opportunity, it is well worth going out of your way to see! Truly a highlight of...

I like old houses. Especially an old Japanese house. It has some vibe that makes me feel at peace. There is a coffee shop that you can sit and relax. I tried to look to the eyes of the lady and ordered something to drink and eat. The lady didn’t want to bother me. Leave me sit there quietly. My husband was laughing at me as people around me seem to murmur ‘oishi’ through my 45 minutes sitting there.
