The scotch lovers bar.

I was taken here by a local and I was completely astounded at the place. They don't seem to carry any usual scotch releases. Everything they have seems to be a rare cask or bottling. I don't speak Japanese, but from what I gathered the owner is an absolute expert on rare scotch. He's even written his own book which he showed me.

I had some of the best whiskies I've ever tried here. Many from my favorite distilleries, the bottles that were served to me I'd never even heard of.

If you like whisky and scotch. This is worth a trip to Morioka for. I've been to whisky bars all round the world... And this is the best...

Amazing little whiskey bar specialising in rare releases and independent bottlings. Their collection is mind-boggling, and one the wonderful owner has been building for decades. He's even written and published his own book on rare whiskies, which he's more than happy to show you if you have an interest.

Pretty much no English spoken, so a bit of Japanese knowledge will help, but also nothing some enthusiastic gesturing can't cover.

Also it's a smoking bar, so be prepared to smell of...

Had some really good old 60s 70s 80s OB whiskies. The bar is a meca for all whisky geeks. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.
