Stayed for 4 nights.
I had a pleasant stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable capsule-style accommodation.
The sleeping pods and shower rooms are among the most spacious I’ve experienced in this type of setup. On the flip side, there are only two showers available on my floor as well as on level 2 which also has the powder room. Do plan your showers accordingly^^
The rooms were nicely warm and the blackout curtains made it easy to rest well. The pillow might be a bit soft for some but it was fine for me.
The laundromat uses 100 yen coins, with washing at 300 yen (detergent included) and the dryer at 100 yen for 30 minutes. You can exchange coins at the reception. I ran the dryer twice for an hour in total but my clothes were still a little damp. Line drying them near my luggage area overnight worked well.
Bedsheets can be changed free of charge by letting the reception know the night before. Fresh towels are also provided daily and are to be picked up at reception.
Breakfast is simple, with two slices of shokupan and soup. I also liked the free-flow drink station, especially the White Grape Soda :)
Managed to squeeze in the tea ceremony with Uehara-san. It was really fun making the bubbles and we got to choose our treats to go along with the tea. Uehara-san’s warmth and cheerful personality made the experience truly...
Read morePros and Cons before booking here: Con:the rooms,it's convenient to have your luggage near you, but!it means people will make their luggage until very late at night(2 nights in a row very well past midnite),and if you wanna sleep early to catch a flight home or take a train is impossible to sleep. The hotel should dim the lights earlier(let's say 11,30pm) and put warnings of not do it after 11. The bed is SUPER hard,it's like sleeping on a naked floor and the pillow is nonexistent, thank god I have an inflatatable one and makes it work better.EDIT: you can ask for a second pillow at the desk for free and that helps alot. for the women: if you do your makeup try ask to stay at the 2nd floor,it's where the powder room is located,it's inconvenient to go up and down to get ready in the morning. pro: the position,is really easy to get here, and it's near locals, restaurants etc.., the people at the reception are all nice and polite, there are lots of feeebies. After all these considerations I could recommend this hotel to someone who wants to bar hopping and clubbing with an iron backbone,if you have problems sleeping or have a back pains...for a night you...
Read moreFirst, I will be positive. The toilets, bathroom, and breakfast are well taken care of. In the evening, you can also snack for free at the reception. The location is also well situated.
Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. The girl (blond hair) at the reception is very unfriendly. Instead of welcoming me, she said "what" when I arrived. She checked me in with a bad attitude. I stayed here for 5 nights, and each time she was unfriendly or unhelpful. If you can't do a hospitable job, then don't do it. An older woman, on the other hand, was kind and helpful.
The capsule was not really clean. My pillow had long hairs all over it. I swapped it with an empty capsule because I knew the grumpy girl wouldn't help me. There were also candy wrappers under the bed and some sort of snot stains on the walls. Reception also told me they would clean the bedsheets and towel everyday. They haven’t cleaned them once.
For one night, this stay is fine, but for multiple nights, I would definitely look for another place. It's a shame I had to stay here for the last...
