Can*Do Shin-Okubo — Attraction in Tokyo

2.5 Hours of my life well spent. Located within the Shinjuku Prince Hotel, Can*Do offers an array of 100 yen($1 in American + tax) products you would want to buy. The quality of the items was astonishing: they were cute, useful and varied from home goods to cosmetics to souvenirs to everyday practical items.

I could not leave even after revisiting all the aisles 3 times over. I was afraid I'd "miss something." This is a place where you cannot bring any hoarder friends; they will buy the whole store. It's ridiculously cheap, but doesn't look cheap at all.

Of the 5 or 6 100 yen stores I visited, this was my favorite. I bought a few items as part of the souvenir packs I gifted to friends. I'm actually using all the stuff I bought, and having an overwhelming episode...

Big 100 yen shop on two storeys. Many DIY and kitchen / bathroom small furniture stuff. Not everything is plastic or paper crap, especially the plates, bowls, Tupperware style boxes, and many other things are also of a surprisingly nice quality. Junk food available. Totally suitable to buy some small souvenirs from Japan if you are on a trip. Suitable to fill most of your cooking and eating tools needs if you are there for a longer time. Pretty huge 1 dollar shop that near from Shin-Okubo station. This shop has 2 floors. The first floor is mostly for household equipments and the second floor is mostly for stationery or other accessories. It is exhaustive so we can find most common item we need. But, because this shop is near from station so we I came here, it's pretty crowded. I often to go here to buy various cheap items....
