Like everyone else here has said the man running this place is so kind and welcoming and the prices are relly good!

I wanted to buy souvenirs for my friends from here and found some lovely teacups for them. The old man running this place told me more closely about where some of the pottery are from and why they are more expensive than others. I really wanted to buy some more expensive ones for myself too but I just didn't have more luggage space for them...

He also asked us if we had been at Yokohama which we said no and he gave us a wonderful idea to go experience Yokohama when we were their since there was a festival held there that weekend. Would definitely reccommend this place if you want great customer service and various kinds of beautiful japanese pottery at cheap price. This store was such a...

Absolutely beautiful pottery shops with many pieces at a reasonable price. There was so much to look at I probably spend 30-40 minutes looking around the store and it’s not very big, there is just that much to look and marvel at. Many of the pieces are made in Japan, many of the pieces are a few hundred yen and there are specialty pieces at 1000-10,000+ yen. The shop owners are very kind and knowledgeable and can tell you about any piece that you buy or are interested in, through Google Translate if you don’t speak Japanese. I happened to get a few handmade and hand painted pieces. One was a dish made over 30 years ago that was a part of a larger set and happened to be the last one he hadn’t sold. Will be going back next time...

Genuinely one of the best pottery shop experiences you will ever have. It is owned by the sweetest couple. We have claimed the husband as our older uncle. He was so thoughtful (and funny!!) and we communicated via translation app. He had such insightful perspective on each of the pieces, especially the matcha bowls. He kept the shop open for us as we figured out how much product to buy and which one was the right fit.

He individually wrapped each of the bowls for us (without even asking) and gave us snacks. Such a heartwarming experience and you absolutely need to go here if you want to pick up some pottery. Give this couple alllllll the...

I had the loveliest experience at this ceramics shop on my recent trip to Tokyo! It’s very much a hole-in-the-wall but so worth a visit. They have beautifully made in Japan bowls, plates, and more. The woman running the shop was helpful and kind, initiating conversation with me via Google Translate. We had a wonderful conversation and she’s been running the shop for over 50 years! She also wrapped my purchases with the care of swaddling a newborn baby. Please visit next time you’re in Tokyo and grab some gifts for yourself and loved ones.

What a gem! Every piece is unique and came from different parts of Japan. Eizoh, the manager, is truly a special man! He is so knowledgeable, warm, and is so adorable with his translator! He tells you where pieces are from and is just a delight to chat with. I am so excited about the pieces I bought. I wanted to buy the entire store! I can’t wait for this to be my go-to store to visit whenever I return to Japan. My only regret is I didn’t discover it 10 years ago when I started visiting Japan. Highly recommend!

When I lived in Tokyo, I found this very hidden place in Shinjuku which is located in a garage. It is a small shop selling beautiful japanese ceramics, from huge vases to tiny cups, plates etc. The owners are an older japanese couple who seem to be extremely kind and loving their job. They were always happy to see me and let me stay for several hours just mesmerizing all the beautiful ceramics they were selling. I would definitely recommend this place as a hidden gem in Tokyo.
