Little hidden contemporary gallery alongside other galleries in the building. It has a glass wall that looks out to the pyramid symbol in the courtyard.
When I came, it was featuring abstract paintings by the German-French artist Hans Hartung, which were shown to the Japanese audience for the first time. It also showed his paint brushes, photo films on his visit to Japan, handwritten notes and letters with Japanese scholars and painters.
There were also short videos of speakers commenting on his calligraphic and rational painting style, which also contained influences from the Japanese zen aesthetics.
