The National Museum of the Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan — Attraction in Tokyo

The museum has some interesting items and good works of art.

However for the size of the exhibition, covering just two rooms, the admission price of ¥1000 was a bit high.

The entries are also timed on the half hour. Presumably this is to avoid overcrowding but it has the opposite effect. Most people arrive before their slot but are kept waiting until their time, at which point they all enter together. This means that the first room is incredibly crowded when you first enter. The second room is a bit better as people move around the first room at different paces which spreads...

They have some nerve to have the words National and Imperial in the name of the museum but only have two rooms of artwork. That's like if I went to McDonald's headquarters and they only served fries.

Closes at 5 but stops admitting at 3:30. Insanity. Came another day, not an expensive museum but again it's only two rooms. Will give them credit that they meticulously clean the glass...
