You need to preselect your menu when you book and we had really no idea what we were ordering so some of this is on us but we felt lost and under whelmed by the whole meal. It wasn’t well explained especially on how and when to cook the Shabu Shabu ingredients and we sat at the end with our bowls in front of us not getting any attention for about 12 minutes- when I caught an eye and said we are finished she said I can bring desert but you need to have the udon noodle. Kobe beef (to much) and udon noodle were tasty however we had amazing meals at Gyukatsu Motomura, Omoide Yokocho and Miura Misaki Port Ueno that were a 10th...

Truly beautiful meal. I was here for a business lunch which explains the poorly taken photos but every dish was spectacular with a lovely presentation. My favourite dish was a dish of Wagyu beef cooked with bamboo shoots. It was a simple looking dish and yet every ingredient in the bowl stood out. There was one unique dish of green bean tofu with firefly squid which isn’t something I get easily in Singapore so that was a nice experience. Service was attentive which is expected in Japan. Really enjoyed my experience here trying a number of traditional dishes in Japan and I hope that there will be another opportunity for me to...

Not recommended for foreigners. Almost humiliating quality for 30000 yen per person set. I have visited this restaurant for more than 5 times since 2016, it used to be good. But this time the quality is so sad. I am puzzled why it still gets good ratings on tabelog given its way below average expectation of Japanese restaurants. Not sure if it’s bad because we are foreign tourists. Stay away from it. It’s the most terrible experience we...

What a treat! The kaiseki cuisine here ranks amongst the best in the world! I had the set menu (katsuni lunch course) and few other dishes off the a-la-carte too. Everything was splendid. (And the service was respectful and class apart). Highly recommended if you are in Tokyo! (also the food kept coming so forgot to take a few picx) The Wadakura is on the 9th fl of the Palace Hotel (with spectacular views of the moats of the Imperial Palace).
