I doubt that it’s been mistakes or intentional mistakes. It’s rainy at 9pm, I went there for last minute shopping and bought a lot of stuffs for tax free. At Tax free checkout counter, two staffs helped each other to scan and put everything in a clear sealed bag. The receipt has a long list of what I bought in Japanese that I couldn’t understand at the spot.
After arriving at the hotel (10 pm), I started packing and get ready to leave on the next day. I checked the receipt with google translate and got shocked that there is a mistake about the quantity. I bought a bottle of counter brand SK2 (22,500 JPY for 1 pc) but it was 2 pcs on the receipt. Luckily that everything is in the sealed bag. I have to go back to the store (without any compensation from the store and yes, it’s raining). At the store, a staff check the item in the bag (unopened) and refund the extra piece.
I decided to check every single item on the list and found another mistake that some items (2 packs of vitamin c) were not in the bag. It is not easy to move things around in the sealed bag though. I went back to the counter and teared down the bag to re-check the items in the bag and the code on the receipt one by one with cashier. He gave me two missing packs of vitamins and put all items in a new sealed bag. After sealing, I rechecked again line by line with the cashier and came back to the hotel around midnight .
Beware!
The sealed bag made it difficult to count the items inside. Always check...
Read moreDonkey hotel Don quixote, they're all about the same some are bigger some are smaller but they have about everything you need all through the store. The worst thing about Don Quixote is the organization. Things are just everywhere, you'll have baby food next to dog food. But for the most part they're fine you can find lots of fun things and neat things besides the everyday items that you're looking for the bigger they are the more time you'll spend in there just looking at all the stuff. Pricing is just average there's nothing special about the prices. At night time usually there's a lot of unique people in there in the daytime...
Read moreBig store full of products that are affordable and fun! You have to keep a good eye out and be aware that it is a little bit of a sensory overload. I was able to find crocs, stationery, and Levi T-shirt’s. Also smaller souvenirs, candy, face masks, and Japanese snacks. I was able to present my passport and receive tax free on these products! Such a fun experience. I think I stopped at every one I saw because the selection would vary. Neat place to be and very cute...
