Sirius: SKY lounge — Restaurant in Yokohama

2024 November Review: This is my second review to this restaurant. Cannot Write two reviews using the same account, so I have to edit the previous post by adding this November Update.

During 2024 November, I organize a birthday party at this restaurant. The food remain in good quality. The beef, sushi rice with Sashimi, pasta are great. Usually the Japanese Buffet is not that great, but this sirius is outstanding great in cost performance.

The juice, tea, coffee are free and self served. Take a glass and pour 80% Oolong Tea and mix with 20% of Apple juice. My aunt said the coffee is great, but I haven't try it.

The birthday cake is tasty and the strawberry is fresh. Photos for cake is attached. The seat is comfortable, and they give us a mid size room which fits 8 of us perfectly. The waitress bring a digital camera and took photo for us. She print us the color photos at the same moment. A small paper card frame is also provided to hold that photo. Could not ask for more with this 5500 yen or so. Thank You Sirius for making us a happy day. The birthday cake has 3 sizes and it is not expensive, ranging from 5000 yen to 6500 yen. You can request what to write on that Chocolate Board.

Did not see the carrot yogurt this time, but they have spinach yogurt instead. Must Try.

I reserve the table using the app Table Check, it is easy. Window seat can be selected if your group consists of 4 people or less.

This restaurant deserve a perfect 5 star score.

2024 Feb Review: The restaurant is located at the 70th floor of the hotel. The environment and the window well is excellent. Roast Beef, Sashimi sushi rice are great. There is an orange carrot smoothie yogurt which is highly recommended. I hate carrot but I drank 6 cups of this thing. Pictures were attached. Very unfortunately, my table is located at a distance from the window. Maybe because I did not make a reservation. It worth 5 stars for a 4900 yen...

We have visited for both the lunchtime buffet and the evening dinner set course. Both are absolutely exquisite.

The buffet has a huge range of hot and cold dishes, including a carvery with roast beef and pork. There is also a station where you can have a fresh omelette cooked right in front of you, with ingredients and sauce of your choice. Plenty of Japanese and Western dishes to choose from.

Each time we have visited for dinner, we have had the Starry Sky course, and it is simply divine. Each course is delicately and perfectly prepared, and you are left feeling very satisfied by the time the dessert course rolls around. And of course, the night time view is nothing short of breathtaking.

As you would expect for such a prestigious establishment, the service is top-notch and very accommodating.

Pricy, but so worth it. If you are looking for something special, you will not be...

Sky Lounge is on the seventeenth floor of the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel. Most likely the most recognizable building in Yokohama. All windows overlooking the harbor . On top of that it's the only place around that opens at 7am every day. The sky lounge offers a very diverse spread. There is a traditional Japanese breakfast , continental, western with eggs and bacon and then some... All of it is good. I cannot call it excellent but it is very good. This is my second breakfast here and I will return. Especially with the currency exchange rate it is...
