Kato Paphos - Ta Mpania — Attraction in Cyprus

Had a horrible and upsetting experience here. There was an empty table by the sea that we wanted to sit by. I asked the waitress if we could sit there, she started clearing up the table then her manager/boss/colleague shouted at her across the restaurant to her in Greek and she informed us that we couldn’t sit there because the table was reserved. So we sat down at a different table and ordered. We saw another couple coming into the restaurant and were visibly looking for a table to sit down at and chose to sit down on the table that we were previously told was reserved. However, they were then given menus and their orders were taken by the waitress. I asked the waitress who had told us that the table was reserved why we were not allowed to sit on that table but the other couple were. She said to give her a moment and she’d come back to me. I sat back down, the food and drinks came and we waited for a long time before someone came to speak to us when they noticed we’ were not eating or drinking anything. The waiter and then the same boss/manager came, I explained why I was upset to him and he gave no explanation as to why we were treated differently and simply asked if we wanted to sit at another table. No explanation was given as to why we were refused a table by the sea when another couple without a booking were allowed to sit there. It made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. As the only non-white/ non-Cypriot person in that restaurant, I can’t see another explanation other than what I felt was conscious or unconscious racism - especially given that no other explanation was given. Out of principle, we did not eat any of the food or drink any of the drinks but we did offer to pay for them. I did not want to eat their food given their treatment. GIRLS! DO NOT GO THERE!!! We went there with 3 friends (all of us girls) to have a nice time and a drink. 30 minutes later a very drunk man started bothering us (touching our arms and coming again and again to our table) we asked the waiter to help us who just told that man to go “away” and he started saying “dont worry he is drunk, we all know him” but they did noting. The drunk man went to another table where there were girls aged between 16-18 years old and started borhering them and being too intense as he was with us few moments before (touching them etc). So we told the waiter that was not acceptable and asked him to help these girls, and he said that he was a VIP client that usually went there so he was going to do nothing because “he was not the police”. We were bothered by a drunk old man that is able to harass any woman he wants to just because he is a VIP client. This is how they treat the females in there. I am so disgusted I would NEVER go there again Disgusting this stills...

Went one lunch time not too busy. Managed to grab a seat with a fantastic view. Ordered 2 beers, muscles with grilled potatoes and a vegan burger dish for lunch. After twenty minutes the drinks had still not arrived, upon enquiring it was obvious the beers had no been ordered. The drinks came and we awaited lunch. Some twenty minutes later again our food came - well not exactly our food! We received muscles and a baked potato and a cheese and ham pizza! After convincing them this wasn't our order theytook it away to start making fresh. I told the waitress not to bother and we would just take the drinks instead. Paid the cashier and left without one...
