Art Center of Baltic Amber — Attraction in Vilnius

Great workshop and exhibition! I had noticed some amber workshops on TripAdvisor for 51 Euro each. When I stepped into this shop and asked, she gave me prices that had our whole family (6 people) cost 51 Euro. What a deal! We were able to schedule a workshop for the next afternoon.

The workshop was in English and started with an explanation of Baltic amber and a tour of the exhibitions downstairs. Don’t miss the lizard preserved in amber! We also learned the different tests to discover if a piece of amber is authentic. Then we each received a small piece of amber which we polished and drilled a hole in, making our own souvenirs. It was exciting finding out what color of amber we each had, which was revealed during the polishing process.

We were extremely lucky to have a personalised tour and amber amulet making workshop at Art Centre of Baltic Amber in October 2024. It is one of the most unique workshops we have done. Our passionate and knowledgeable guide Agniya took us through the history of amber, its production and collection, and various types before letting us create our own amber amulets.
