I do not recommend this place – and please read the owner’s response below.
We ordered lentil soup, but it was served cold. Luckily, the young girl working there was very kind and quickly heated it up again — 5/5 for her service (the only good thing!). I ordered an Adana wrap, but unfortunately, it was one of the worst Adanas I’ve had. The meat tasted more like köfte than proper kebab. My friend ordered chicken with bulgur, but the portion was very small — only about 7–8 pieces of chicken. The staff were friendly, but the food quality and portions could definitely be improved. ———————-
Owner’s response (for others to see, in case it’s deleted): “You think you’re in Turkey, I don’t understand what kind of person you are. As a Turk, you found a Turkish place in this small country and you’re writing nonsense. Sorry, but are you expecting 1 kg of chicken for 14 euros? Of course, Adana can’t be like it is in Turkey — it doesn’t have lamb meat or lamb fat, because Lithuanians don’t like lamb fat. Please, before writing a review, get to know the country first —————— My reply to the owner: Then you shouldn’t call it Adana kebap. I don’t live in Turkey, and I’ve tried Adana in many countries across Europe — yours was far from it, and I’m a chef. Also, 14 € for a few pieces of chicken? You clearly know how to fill the plate with 400 g of bulgur instead. Judging me for my honest comment is not professional — I’m a customer who paid for your tasteless food. My review is meant to guide other customers, not to insult you. If I didn’t like the food and your attitude, what did you expect me to give — five stars? ——- Additionally
There’s free tea, but calling it “Turkish tea” would be a stretch. The people at the next table took some but left without even tasting it. We took it too, just because we missed drinking tea, but it was basically hot water. There was absolutely no flavor, as if they used one teaspoon of tea leaves for...
Read moreThere was glasses and a fork under the table. The outdoor table was dirty. We ordered hummus and Tombik – the dishes arrived 40 seconds apart. The Tombik bread was very good: fresh and tasty. The meat had no flavor, no salt, and was cut too thick and dry– not like should be for döner type dish. The hummus was not good, very dry, dark yellow color. The waiter didn’t let us pay for it, which we appreciated.
When we entered the place in the beginningof our visit, the waitress was sitting and chatting with someone. After some time when she came near our table I told her about the glass under the table, she said she was very busy and working alone and left. However, later my husband went inside to get some salt and found her sitting again, talking with other women.
It would be great if you could get holders for paper napkins – the waitress was complaining that they were flying around outside all day and kept putting them directly on the table pressing it with wooden board of dish.
The draft beer was over.
WC was...
Read moreVisited this place twice. During the first time we were nicely surprised and impressed, because staff was super kind, tea was free and their lentil soup was great (but lacked salt on abit). For second time I invited my friends because we believed they have best kebabs in town. We were all (4 people) extremely disappointed - kebabs lack flavor, very small portions of meat, high prices 11.50 for a plate) and their vegetarian cig kofte is inedible! Lady working by the counter didn't recommend us cig kofte as it was too spicy for her but we still wanted to try our luck - and yes, we should have listened to her... Cig kofte was terrible, dry, too spicy while the rest had no flavor, the bulgur mash was just bad. I am disappointed that staff knows cig kofte is a bad meal and still does not improve it and asks for 7.5 eur for it. Disappointment,...
