(Detailed review below) Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re into history then it’s a no-brainer to visit this spot, where it is the site of Miri’s first drilled oil well. And nearby you can head to the Petroleum Museum (check the reviews though before deciding) or go around the museum building to the lookout point giving you a fantastic view of Miri! There is a restaurant nearby but it was closed when I was there. Hopefully, this area can be brought up better and maintained as it’s a great potential for tourism and education. Tip: The ‘MIRI’ landmark was recently unveiled nearby with a large structure spelling out ‘MIRI’ and emblazoned on the hill ala the Hollywood sign. Pretty cool spot for more selfies!

Directly being in sight, overlooking our window from Pullman Miri Waterfront, one could hike up Canada Hill, or take a Grab up. -enjoy amazing views of Miri City from Canada Hill. Watch the city light up as the skies darken. -visit the 'Grand Old Lady', also known as Well No.1 as it was the first oil well in the country. -stroll through the Petroleum Science Museum, which educates on the prominence of the oil and gas industry in Miri's earlier days We arrived late at Canada Hill, when it was nearly dark. It's a lovely place, with a lovely view.

View is amazing (reckon it'll be even more amazing without the haze). Sunscreen is highly advisable! The petroleum museum, a very run down museum. Very stuffy as the air conditioning wasn't turned on, interactive arts wasn't even turned on, very dimmed as not all lights were on, most attractions was too dark to take photos as lights wasn't on and information desk staff was just busy playing games on his phone. Very very dissapointed to see a great museum like this go downhill without care.

Nice place to enjoy the scenic view of Miri City. However, there is still a lot that needs to be improved. A proper site for food and drinks stalls, currently makeshift tents, unhygienic and without proper drainage, etc. Permanent site for public toilets and resting areas for enthusiastic joggers or cross training athletes, etc. More prohibition sign boards to ensure cleanliness of the site, especially rubbish bins, additional and improved the seating design, lastly, to engage safety and security personnel to be on site to monitor the public safety...
