As a cafe hopper in JB i normally don't rate cafes and restaurants a low one or two stars unless it's really necessary as I myself is in the F&B industry. Came to this place on the recommendation of Tik Tok and overshot this place as I am not sure it's almost right to the end of the road. We ordered some kuih and the cold boiled chicken rice plus coffee and nasi lemak. What happen was the wrong chicken rice was served to us, and kudos to the server he quickly added on the right dish for us at no extra charges. What I personally feel is the prices for the food and beverage is a tad higher than the neighbours all around the streets which I will not name them. Plus many selections on the menu or off the shelves items are not available. Secondly, the kuih and chicken rice is not as fantastic as portrayed and neither is the toast and the nasi lemak which was served cold. As said, I am not a high standard foodie but this really strikes me off. Last but not least, the staff seems confused upon payment. And I also paid for the wrong order of chicken rice as I feel all business should not lose money. Overall, the reason why I gave 2 stars instead of one is the innovative way they fold the paper boat for the chicken rice and the service of the staff. Sorry and apologies but I will not patron...
Read moreThe roasted chicken & cold boiled chicken are good, ordered the thigh & drumstick, the meat is quite tender. I prefer the cold boiled one, the roasted one would be better if the skin has a little more seasoning & fragrance. The soya sauce & archar is leaning towards the sweeter taste. The rice is oily rice with shallot fragrance, a different version as compared to the others outside. I personally love oily rice, so I finished up every grain of the rice.
The rice taste good with their soup. The soup is quite salty, but we like how it is, which makes one keep taking another spoon to drink.
The iced kopi & milo is average.
We tried their sugar butter toast too. The toast was really crispy, soaked with butter & lots of sugar. Really a good one to enjoy with a cup of hot beverage.
The shop is quite empty on a weekday, not sure about weekends. Food served pretty quick as well. Ordered through a QR code & can pay via cashless modes. It is on the another side of the famous banana cake shop, the area is quite quiet.
There is not much parking area, unless you are lucky to get a space by the side of the road. Further up, there is a large parking lot, quite a lot of spaces.

Read moreSimple, delectable food with good coffee. White chicken porridge - both the chicken and porridge were cooked beautifully. My husband and I loved it! Added a homemade barley drink to make it a set at 12.9RM - barley drink was perfect - not too sweet with some barley grains inside.
Homemade Kaya came with the Kaya pulut was perfect as well, not too sweet and cooked just nice. 5.2RM
Staff were friendly, but the only thing was that they couldn't converse in/understand English much which affected service - I requested to change the soft boiled eggs to hard boiled, to which the server nodded and seemed to understand... But showed up later with soft boiled eggs instead.
Not crowded when we went on a Saturday morning. Plenty of indoor...
