I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Replacement, and I must say it was a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations in several aspects.
The culinary journey began with the Unagi Bao, and the burst of flavors was truly remarkable. The combination of tender Unagi and perfectly paired ingredients made each bite a culinary delight. Additionally, the Laska Pasta showcased a unique twist on traditional flavors, offering a tasty and innovative experience. The fusion of Laksa flavors with pasta was a culinary masterpiece, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds.
Accompanying the delectable dishes, I opted for a latte with oat milk, and it did not disappoint. The velvety texture of the oat milk complemented the rich espresso perfectly, creating a satisfying and well-balanced beverage.
The ambiance at The Replacement added to the overall positive experience. The establishment was impeccably clean, reflecting a commitment to hygiene and quality service. I appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining a pristine environment for patrons.
The staff at The Replacement were not only attentive but also exuded friendliness and professionalism. From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. Their knowledge about the menu, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm to assist, contributed significantly to the overall positive dining atmosphere.
Moreover, I was pleased to find that outdoor parking was available, providing convenience for patrons who prefer to drive. This thoughtful addition to the overall experience showcased The Replacement's commitment to ensuring a hassle-free visit for its customers.
In conclusion, my visit to The Replacement was a gastronomic delight. The combination of exceptional food, well-crafted beverages, a clean and inviting atmosphere, and friendly, professional staff make this cafe a standout choice for those seeking a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend The Replacement to anyone looking to indulge in a delightful blend of unique flavors and...
Read moreOne star for aesthetics. None for poor customer service and staff knowledge, food, menu variety.
Visited on Sunday morning for brunch. Take note the sun faces the entrance of the restaurant in the late morning so it can get quite hot queuing outside.
Aesthetics looks good inside and out. We were fitted with a table of 4 for 5 pax, but if you don’t order a feast, the table space is big enough.
Ordered the Eggs Benny with mushrooms, add on of avocado and bacon. Mine was good. Fresh mushrooms, bacon was not over cooked (and serving was generous), muffin was not too dry. I thought it was good.
Tomato soup was diluted and came with cheese toast sticks. Hazelnut Nutella churros and everything else was just okay.
Also asked the wait staff if they have oatmilk (I’m lactose intolerant) when we were seated inside, they said they do. When we ordered, a different wait staff said they didn’t have oatmilk. I said it’s fine, I’ll ask another staff - that’s when she said she will check for me. After checking, she told me that they only have oatmilk for coffee and not chocolate drink. I assume that means their chocolate is either pre-made or packaged (which is fine but just FYI for lactose intolerant friends).
They also do serve water - comes in a bottle and empty glasses. After ordering, we asked for water and the same wait staff gave us 2 empty cups for a table of 5. (???? We ordered 5 dishes for 5 pax and not just drinks) Not sure if staff (re)training can help with this.
If visiting for pictures and aesthetics, good place to be. If for food, Eggs Benny is good, but will not return to try other food on the menu, given the number of other cafes...

My partner and I frequent here quite often and get the same thing each time!
The breakfast platter tastes amazing and has generous portions. The beef bacon can be dry at times but is usually quite juicy. (There is also the option of chicken ham). The beans are homemade and seasoned beautifully. The sautéed mushrooms and scrambled eggs come in quite generous portions along with 2 pieces of perfectly toasted sourdough and a big chicken sausage. Add-ons are available too.
The pesto cream pasta is wonderful. The pasta is cooked al dente and is topped with a generous amount of mushrooms, tomatoes and nuts. It is creamy, yet not too "jelat" which is perfectly complimented by the pesto. The dish is light yet flavourful (not overly salty) and will leave you wanting for more.
As for drinks, we both really love the 'Peach Fresca'. It is the ultimate thirst quencher! Not too sweet and does not taste artificial with the right amount of fizz. (They put peaches in your drink too!) Only downside is the drinks take awhile to make and can sometimes be served after your food.
The coffees are also quite good, although I would prefer if the Iced Americano...
