Starbucks Bamboo Hills DT — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

First time having Starbucks. Went to this place on a Saturday night. I saw they have this handcrafted beverage but being my first time there I wasn’t sure what it means (my thought was the drink crafted by picking the ingredients out on our own) so I asked one of the employees attending to us (Malay girl). She wasn’t very polite and she asked me “Xkan u sendiri buat kat sini?” I was quite taken aback by what she meant but I chose not to argue with her. So I just picked other drinks on the board, then she asked me “Iced blended or Frappe?” Okay, you might not know but I’m not really sure on the terminology since it’s my FIRST time in Starbucks so being a stupid ass asking her what’s the difference, then in return she answered me with a very very rude way (I remembered her frowning her brows like as though it’s wrong not to know all these..). After ordering the drink, I felt stupid and thought it will be my last time ordering from Starbucks. I saw the latest video on how the Malay employee in KLIA 2 only did I remember about this incident. Thought of just reminding people to maybe get your terminology well before ordering a drink in Starbucks for the first time or else you’re gonna get sarcastically taught by employees from Starbucks. Came here for dessert - the first time after having iftar at Nok Yung restaurant. It was around 9pm when we reached and the crowd started to get busier.

Staff were friendly however I personally feel that they need an extra helping hand. As we were expecting another friend joining us, the queue became really long too. Scared that by the time our friend who just joined us will only get his order ready by the time we finished ours (easily it was around 15-20mins).

I checked the drive thru as well, as we were seated outdoor. It was nonstop! Cars were all queuing up since the time we arrived before 10PM all the way till midnight! Poor floor staff at this outlet. They did get one of the hot matcha drink orders of my friend - not up to standard (clump of powdered matcha found, it was as big as a thumb size).

We didn’t want to complain at first as it was a small issue plus looking at the queue, pretty sure it was unintentionally done by the busy baristas.

So to the management of this outlet, kindly do something. Increase the amount of staff you have (especially peak hours). Or improve the ordering system especially for customers who already seated but wants to order more without repeating the same queuing process.

Mon, Nov 21, around 10.35pm. i have been to a lot of outlet before and so far this was the worst one. i usually spent around rm80 above each visits and this one disappoints me a lot so i was called to leave a review here. the baristas are lacking of skills and aren’t well trained. they didnt even aware of the promotions ongoing and didnt even try to ask the store manager about the qr i showed them. i have friends who also work as baristas in Starbucks. I have contacted them and asked them regarding the qr i have with me and it is valid for all stores and they are well aware of it, but how comes yall didn’t? berlagak pandai pula tu. I didn’t have the chance to look at their nametag but in my receipt the one who served me was Aidiel and he was working with a lady with white shirt. Very unprofessional. A disappointment i can conclude. My friend even said that they look at us numerous times seems like they were judging us. Also the worst part is they didn’t even call out our name to pick up our drinks and foods. All were just left alone to melt and cold? Biggest disappointment. I will never come here again and I strongly not recommended everyone especially first timer to come here. Go everywhere else...
