Read moreI have seen a dozen of night markets in Malaysia, and I don't understand good reviews of this one. Prices are much higher than even in KL, food offering is limited and tell me honestly, how can you praise commercial poor quality sausage or surimi skewers? After seeing this market I just went to McDonald's. Possibly eating from a cafe-like stall is better there, but e.g. 60 myr for grilled fish? That's slightly cheaper than in Europe, but in neighboring Thailand for that money you can get 2. So if you have nothing to compare with, it's good to go have some local night market experience. Otherwise, you may be...
Read moreThe only food trucks I frequent at this night market is Wan Langkawi Char Kuey Teow and ANR Food (yellow truck selling Yong tau foo, lokching, bakso and ramyeon soup). Tried the other food trucks but not to my taste, perhaps will suit others.
Wan Langkawi Char Kuey Teow recommendations: Prawn Char Kuey Teow (not Penang style, this one has gravy), Kuey Teow Goreng Kerang (this is similar to Penang's CKT), Bihun Goreng Ayam
ANR Food (yellow truck) recommendations: Black Pepper Grilled Lokching (must-try! heat from the pepper sauce đđģ) served as yong tau foo (ask for sauce, not soup) đĨ° I handle heat well so...
