If you’re visiting Cameron Highlands, Pasar Pagi at Kea Farm Market is definitely a must-visit spot—especially if you’re looking to try some fresh local produce and street snacks. One of my favourite finds there was a cup of jagung rebus (boiled corn)—but not just any corn, it was the famous white corn, which is a specialty in this area. We paid RM7 for a cup of white corn, requested it with less salt and a drizzle of condensed milk. It was incredibly delicious—sweet, slightly creamy, and perfectly cooked. Honestly, it was one of the highlights of our food stops in Cameron. They also sell the yellow corn for RM5 a cup, but I highly recommend going for the white one. It’s definitely worth trying at least once! Besides that, I also bought some uncooked white corn from another stall—10 small ones for RM10. The seller told us it was freshly harvested and could even be eaten raw. I gave it a try, and to my surprise, it was sweet, crisp, and really fresh-tasting. When cooked, it turned out even sweeter and juicier. I never expected corn could taste that good. Freshness makes all the difference! There are many stalls in the market selling vegetables, fruits, snacks, souvenirs, and local treats. Some stalls may mark up prices for tourists, so it’s always good to look around and compare—or try bargaining a little. Overall, Pasar Pagi at Kea Farm is a lively and fun place to explore, especially for foodies. Whether you’re looking to snack, shop, or just experience the local vibe, this market has...
Read moreWe stopped by Kea Farm before heading home. Even though it was a Friday, the traffic was already bad — super jammed just to get in! Parking was another struggle, so good luck to anyone planning to come during the weekend or public holidays — be patient! If you're shopping here, make sure to compare prices first — especially for strawberries. Each stall sells them at different prices, so it pays to survey a bit before buying.
Here’s what we bought:
Strawberries (of course — you can’t leave Cameron without them!) Jagung Susu– seriously delicious and juicy Flavoured Cameron Valley tea – nicely packed, perfect as souvenirs Jerseys – cool designs and all under RM30 Sleepwear – super cute designs! Bouquet flowers – grabbed some baby’s breath just to brighten up the office Puku ice cream – yum! Plus lots of snacks and munchies – we were literally eating while shopping
We didn’t even make it to the newer Kea Farm — already spent hundreds just at this one, haha! Definitely a fun stop for shopping, snacking, and grabbing last-minute goodies before...
Read moreRenovations have started in the right side of this dual retail section of flowers, fruits and vegetables. The vendors on the right have been moved opposite the road and there are very few remaining stalls operating. Depending on season, you might have: Flowers(fresh and dried) Cabbages, cauliflower and broccoli Carrots and turnips and radishes Specialty items like honey, jams, dried fruit and avocados Throughout the year however, you could always find strawberries 🍓 (small and sweet sour), sweet potatoes (purple/orange), pumpkins (japanese/local) and maize(yellow, mixed, pure white). But do be careful of the goods sold to you as they may not be entirely fresh. Vendors have resorted to placing a few good maize with some withered or bad ones and pass it off as a discount to you. I was upset by such an attitude and felt i no longer wanted to come and patronise such vendors. Kea Farm opens as early as 8am but closes by 4pm because of the...
