Went with a friend and her siblings. Was there for the outbound course but was told to join a trapeze show first. The man holding the rope to our harnesses tried to convince us to do a backflip, which since one of us was unsuccessful in attempting the trick, I decided not to. When it was my turn, as I was making the land just like I did during the first attempt, the man holding the rope stood up far too quickly making me drop quicker than I should have. Luckily the floor had soft padding to break my fall, however this also made me land unstably and I ended up fracturing a bone. I needed to catch a flight the next day. After this, I was put on a wheelchair and taken to the clinic, where they gave me a glove filled with ice and told me to ice it on my own. My friend took over instead since I could not do it alone. Having sprained my ankle previously, I elevated my foot. But no expert or carer told us what we should do. Shortly after, they all left us completely alone with no guidance or observation (despite having many people working there). At one point, someone came in to ask my friend whether or not she wanted to join the trapeze show just as she was icing my leg since nobody else would help me. Naturally, she declined. We got tired of being left alone in the clinic (in a form they filled out later before we left they had mentioned they left us alone in the clinic because we seemed to be alright on our own—we are not healthcare professionals so this was very disappointing) and we decided to leave on our own with whatever wheelchair we could find.
The way they handled the situation was very unprofessional. They even tried to convince us that I was at fault, when not only do we have video evidence of malpractice, but we are in no way professionals. This is a place that is supposed to be safe for even young children who have never done anything like this before. So being left completely alone with nothing but ice in a rubber glove was frustrating. No care instructions, no observation, no guidance, and a complete lack of accountability.
Not one person asked me if I was okay. Instead, they attempted to convince me that I was alright. The cherry on top of it all was that while I was calling my mother to explain what happened, someone came to give us medals that said the words “trapeze artist” as a way to calm us down. But not a single person working there had apologised. I went to the emergency room hours later and had been told I had a fracture and couldn’t walk for 2 weeks and am even now still healing from it. It has been a very physically and mentally challenging time and yet no one is bearing the...
Read moreSome pointers:
Buy tix online. It becomes cheaper the more advance notice it is. Do all the check-in online. Once there, it will be a breeze to enter multiple times. Be prepared to spend the whole day there. Bring lots of water. Bring a change of clothes because you will sweat buckets. The banana slide is the only wet feature. Eventhough they provide an overall, it will still seep through (till your underwear!). Do this last so that you can change clothes and then leave for the day. Need a change of socks too coz this ride is shoeless. All the obstacles have levels of difficulty. Only after you pass the first level will you be allowed to proceed to the next. For level 3, only adults are allowed. Our 10 year old boys, eventhough very good rock climbers, found level 2:2 to be challenging. The safety level and staff conscientious is phenomenal. Constantly on guard and motivating at every obstacle. You will repeat each course several times. For accompanying parents/adults, since you have paid for the tix, you should also experience the course. But, you need to be fairly agile (and fearless). My husband and I only managed Level 1:1 on the obstacle course, and 3 other activities. After that, we spent the time being the official photographer/videograoer of our kids. Parents can watch frm the sidelines as there are benches (no need to buy tix). But this is a separate area, separated by fences and you need to walk around if you want to keep an eye on your kids. Recommended that the kids are accompanied as there are lots of safety instructions (harness clip, carabiner). Lockers are available with a flat rate of RM10 daily. Entrance is inside the mall, next to Chillis.
This is an awesome, awesome place. The staff were all friendly, helpful and motivating. We went on a weekday, and there were only less than 10 other people there. We arrived at 11am, and left at 7pm. We took a short lunch break at the mall, but the kids wolfed down their lunch so fast as they couldn't wait to get back...
Read moreI AM GOING TO START BY SAYING WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
I visited Escape PJ yesterday and it exceeded all my expectations! With its clean facilities and INCREDIBLE staff, it was truly a world of excitement and adventure.
A big shout out to Yang, Hafiz, Naufal, Haikal, Julkipli and literally all the other staff (I couldn't get all their names) who made the entire experience even better. From guiding you through each obstacle/challenge to helping you overcome your fear, they do it all! I truly cannot describe how amazing these guys were! The staff and service is TOP NOTCH! Their enthusiasm for the activities was contagious, instilling a sense of bravery and a willingness to try new things. Whether it was providing helpful tips for mastering a particular obstacle or cheering me on during a challenging moment, their presence made a remarkable difference in my experience.
There is a variety of activities offered at the park including wall climbing, trampolines, slingshots, slides and obstacles courses. My FAVOURITE was the trapeze—swinging through the air like an acrobat was a dream come true! Julkipli makes trapezing look like a swing in the park, LITERALLY! The most exciting part for me is that you get a medal for certain obstacles!
The cleanliness of the park was commendable. The equipment was well-maintained, ensuring a safe (I take safety very seriously!) and enjoyable environment for all participants. I visited on a Public Holiday and expected it to be overcrowded but there was barely any waiting time! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure and a boost of confidence. Don't miss out on this incredible experience—it's a must-visit!
