We visited the restaurant and had to wait over an hour for our food. We were also given small plastic cups while everyone else had proper glasses. When the starter finally arrived after 50 minutes, the calamari was rubbery and barely chewable. After another long wait, the main courses came out — but we could hardly eat them.

The waitress avoided us instead of apologizing for the delay, even though we had brought it up several times and asked about our food. When it was time to pay, they charged us full price, despite us clearly explaining our dissatisfaction earlier in the evening.

We asked for a reduced price due to the terrible food and service. Instead of taking responsibility, they kept blaming the kitchen, which was odd and unprofessional. In the end, we had to negotiate and explain the whole situation ourselves to get a discount, something they should’ve offered from the start.

Extremely disappointing experience,...

We didn't have a chance to try Cafe Jubilee while in Valletta. So we decided to have our lunch today in Gozo. We liked the ambience the moment we stepped into the place. The music played was easy and soothing, decor is old style but cosy. The staff came to us immediately with the menu and recommended some dishes as we wanted to eat Maltese cuisine. We have ordered Kusksu which is a local vegetable soup with goat's cheese. We liked the soup and the ingredients but not sure with the cheese in the soup. The Lampuki Pie (Fish Pie) and Traditional Rabbit Stew were delicious. And the Imqaret was freshly fried and tasted so much better than the one I had in Valletta. Service was quick and we have a very enjoyable lunch experience. I will recommend people to check it out when they...

This place had all the makings of being great. Lovely inside and busy too... so far so good. Service was also exactly as it should be attentive and prompt without being overbearing. Drinks were nice. The winter special is just hot Apple juice and really far too sweet especially if taken without alcohol. The food is dire! We ordered a pie, ciabatta, and the nicoise salad. Pie - microwaved ciabatta - drowned in fig spread nicoise - dog ends of iceberg lettuce with disintegrated runner beans and over cooked and poor cuts of tuna. A disaster. Lots of good reviews on here so a bit confused. Maybe it was too busy for the kitchen today. Based on our experience we absolutely will not go back. Be warned as it would appear that the kitchen experience...

8 of us ate here. 2 of asked for no sauce or chutney in the baguette the waitor said he'd personally tell the chef . Both came with sauce and chutney. When we said about it he just said sorry and looked as if to say 'get on with it' so I picked up my plate and gave it to him to take it back. All they did was scrape it out as it tasted the same and still had chutney remains in it! Good job we weren't allergic! Loads and loads of flies. Food all over the floor

I have nothing but praises for this beautiful and well decorated cafe. The staff were attentive and cheerful which really made the difference. Although the food was more than reasonably priced, the quality was exceptional. We had the platter alongside tea and were more than satisfied. The accompanying oils were also a perfect match with the platter. Whether it’s inside or outside, this cafe is a great place to eat out in Victoria.
